I know someday that this thing happened to my life right now, even if I cried a bucket full of tears, will make me think and smile. Though it's not planned as it is supposed to be but then again, God gave this to me and I believe that it is still a blessing after all.

I haven't suspected that someday in my life I will be given a chance like this. That someday in my life, I will be thinking far and deep beyond as it goes. Though many people say, just go with the flow, for me, since this is it, and this is really is it, I will have to think of it as a part of growing up and becoming mature to face the world, the real world.

This is new, indeed. But sooner or later, it will be again part of a history wherein I have experienced some tragic and full of fun experience. Someday, when the day my future comes, I will say, I'm proud to be who Iam and not being who I'm not supposed to be.

Sorry if I have cried the day I knew it, but still, it will always be a part of me now. Nothing's gonna change. It's just, I will be more mature and be more responsible. Sorry if at first I dont want to hear the truth, but then again, this is the truth. So I must just face the fact about it. Accept it and be strong.

My First Job

I have this job for more than a month.. And I can say that being a teacher in elementary and High school courses is definitely not in my senses. I hate the feeling when everytime I looked at my students eyes, telling me that I'm not an effective teacher. Believe me, teaching grade school and high school is really tough. Especially in this school. I know that the priority of the teacher is to teach her students lessons they haven't learned and not by telling them only what to do. But I get used of my college life. Wherein the scenario is different. That was college, and this is elementary and high school. I really dont hate my students. Its just they make me feel stupid. When I'm talking in front of the class, they are pretending that they are listening, but when I turned my back at them, I can hear the gossips about me. I just dont like the feeling of being underestimated where in fact I'm trying my very best to give my knowledge to them. And not only to the students Im being down. I also feel the same way to my co-teachers here. Though not all, but most of them. They are not supportive and I can feel that they dont want me here. Ika nga sa Pinoy, crab mentality. They dont want someone to go up, instead they are pulling that someone to go down. I hate the feeling when I smile and greeted them in the morning without anything in response. As if they didn't see that I approached them. I hate the feeling when all the eyes are looking towards me. As if I have done something bad. I hate the feeling when they can't recognize my efforts. At the first place, this is effortful. Teaching students wherein fact I dont have any degree or experienced when it comes to classroom management. But I do love teaching, not with this manner. Buti pa sa public, you have your freedom. Pwede ka mangasaba, pwede ka mamundak, pwede ka mushagit. Diri, daghan bawal. Bawal ni, dapat ani. Bawal na, kini lang dapat nimong buhaton. Do they think that the students cant learn something from that. Salig man gud mga students diri. Anak sa datu! Mao na kailangan, sila permi ang i-pleased. Spoiled Brat. I hate them the way they answer back. Grade 1 pa gani kabalo na mutubag. How much more sa high school. I hate their actions. They pretend to know all wherein fact, layo pa na ilang kaagi sa among kaagi sa una. I hate them the way they treat teachers. Mura lang mig katabang diri sa school. Kumbaga ang muhatod sa ila, ilang nanny. Diri sa sulod sa classroom, nanny lang japon. Hungitan pa masking dako na.Here comes the dragon pa. Who tends to speak good words at your front but at the back of her mind, naa na tanan didto ang mga butang na dili maayo. Isn't it nice to hear that she will say, walang libakanay. Pero numero una diay manlibak. Treating her teachers like chimi-aa. That is the reason why, walay muduagay na teachers diri. Haizt. Just giving myself a break from bad aura. To end the story, Im happy with teaching, I love it, its just, I think I'm not appropriate here. I'm not HAPPY here!!

Being a journalist during my elementary and in my high school days, I have gone to many activities and seminars to enhance my writing skills. But I don’t know it has been enhanced. So my answer in this question would basically base on the learning’s I have learned during that year, if could still remember it.

In writing or creating a journal, it should be precise and on time. Precise or be exact is the right word to be exact. Sometimes, journalist writes their own topic just according to their points of view or in relation with what they feel. They sometimes draw different corners from what they are writing. Meaning, “paligoy-ligoy effect”. and sometimes they add words or create issues on which it is not real, just to gather the sympathy of the audience or for their personal intentions only. Exactness of the article should be base on time. Do not write an article today which is done yesterday. But in research, it is different. You can write a good research paper based on what has been searched in the past. Next in line is that, write an article which is unique. Article sometimes tend to have its duplicate idea or duplicate issue or topic. One of my adviser in elementary said that in one topic, there are lots of ideas that can be used in order to make a good article about the topic alone even if you have lots of competitors in the trend. Write an article which is different and have different taste from the others. Next is the reliability. Write an article which is really reliable. Do not create or write an article that it was just been intended to catch the audience interest even if there were issues and false issues on it. A good writer should possess a good quality of being reliable as well so that the audience will love the article even the journalist too. Next is the relevance. Same with that it is precise and on time. The article should be relevant to the public’s interest. So that the reader’s won’t say that the article is from another planet or where places in the world. Next is the presentation. The presentation should be ideal and can be seen neatly and clearly. It also should be in proper order so that the reader can read it nice. Next is the credibility. Credibility is the real basis of a good journal. Once the credibility is questioned, no audience will still be interested in reading or purchasing the journal. The main factor of a good journalism is towards the audience directly. To impress directly but not to the extent that the writer should write lies on their journals.

In creating a research, there are two kinds of it. One is for social research and the other is for technical research. Social research refers to research conducted by social scientists (primarily within sociology and social psychology), but also within other disciplines such as social policy, human geography, political science, social anthropology and education. Sociologists and other social scientists study diverse things: from census data on hundreds of thousands of human beings, through the in-depth analysis of the life of a single important person to monitoring what is happening on a street today - or what was happening a few hundred years ago. While on the other half, technical research is an applied research oriented toward engineering disciplines (but not to a specific product or process) and aimed at developing tools and test equipment and procedures, and at providing solutions to specific technical problems.

The question really is about what the state of computer science research is and what the varieties are of technical topics. From the first question, I have read an article titled Computer Science in India. And on how the researches have been a big help in India's technological and economic progress. Computer Science (CS) research in India started in earnest only in the mid-80 triggered by the establishment of post-graduate programs in many institutions throughout the country at that time. Today, almost all areas of computer science research are covered by researchers in India, including topics that are "hot" elsewhere such as multi-media, workflow automation, virtual reality, and hardware-software co-design he territory covered by Indian researchers is impressive and most of the research problems tackled are of current interest globally. Some of the research has even attracted international attention including work on neuro-fuzzy systems, machine learning, genetic and neural algorithms, the modeling and control of flexible manufacturing systems, speech synthesis, databases, and complexity theory. One area where solutions unique to Indian conditions have been developed is machine-assisted language processing. With a vast population conversing in a multitude of languages (there are over twenty officially-recognized regional languages!), many with their own scripts, the problem of translation and transliteration from English to these languages and from one Indian language to another is daunting, but one which has the potential for a huge pay-off, -- socially, politically, and economically. It is not surprising that many computer science researchers are grappling with this problem. Some of the solutions are quite mature, and available as commercial software offerings. Many of these permit interactions with the computer in a local language, using keyboards designed explicitly for the language.

The results of the efforts mentioned above demonstrate that it is possible to carry out high-quality research in India, leading to publications in visible international journals; the potential exists and the resources can be garnered. However, most of the rest of the research is found wanting in quality. Incremental solutions -- developed relative to an existing published result, and the lack of in-depth evaluations -- are the norm. A senior faculty member at an IIT summarized the status of computer science research at India's leading basic research institutions thus: "The averages are there, but the peaks are not."

Several explanations can be offered for this gap between potential and reality. They relate to an ill-defined definition of the purpose of research in a developing country like India, absence of incentives as well as recognition, lack of critical mass in most research areas, paucity of resources -- both in quality and quantity, suboptimal utilization of what is available, low funding levels and the missing of accountability.

There are many in Indian computer science who argues that the goals of research and development in India ought to be manpower development, increasing competence, and keeping faculty up-to-date with current techniques. Towards this end, it is said that "reinventing the wheel" is not only necessary but also important. This might be one of the reasons that even though it is said (repeatedly) that India has one of the world's largest technical manpower, the manpower needed to do state-of-the-art research is found to be wanting, both in quality and quantity. According to Prof. Mahabala of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras, this is because the "driving forces are not here." Since highly-trained, quality manpower is the key to the founding of new enterprises and for entering novel highly value-added arenas, many policy makers appear concerned with this issue. It is high time, since many echo Prof. Narasimhan, a doyen of Indian computer science, who feels that "there is no systematic effort to break new ground" even though information technology is more available now.

A stumbling block is the prevalent view that it is difficult to do "cutting-edge" research in India. A related view is that "creating new areas is very difficult, but contribution to an existing area is possible". A researcher who recently returned to India from the U.S. said that, because of this, one needs to come equipped with broad-based interests rather than a narrow focus. (As it turns out, whereas for almost twenty years research organizations had a difficult time attracting Indian researchers working abroad, the last few years have begun to see a reversal in this trend.)
Because of the breadth of research coverage, in most areas of computer science research there is a subcritical research force as a result of which most Indian researchers work in isolation. They hence miss the much-needed opportunity to interact with peers and fellow workers in their area of specialization. Even when there are related efforts elsewhere within the country, as a researcher admitted, "Indians don't know what others are doing." With the current availability of e-mail, a few researchers have begun collaborative efforts, mainly with colleagues overseas. Many are of the opinion that cooperation among researchers within India will not pick-up substantially due to the limited monetary resources available and the severe internal competition that it implies. One of the fall-outs of the subcritical research mass has been the inability of the funding agencies to obtain quality peer reviews.
One area that does not suffer from this problem is computer science theory. Most research-oriented academic departments have a substantial theory group, often the only group with critical mass. These researchers do not have to contend with the lack of resources and many with mathematical background find it an easier area to (re)train themselves in.

Besides a few research groups, ones with the required critical mass, very few researchers work with long-term research goals -- needed to have a coherent vision -- and strive to achieve it. This, along with an apparent lack of recognition of "sparks", a problem mentioned by many junior faculty, are cited as two of the many reasons for lower visibility of Indian computer science research. Another reason given is the paucity of research funds and the manner in which it is administered.
This research study in India has been funded along the way in order to create a blastful research. This kind of study is not only for the Indian alone, but as well to the community all over the world. This is one of the bases that the creation of this research is a proof that computer science research is growing. But on the other half, the creation of this article is basically one of the factors that Indian community is more likely coming to full.

The first question stated of how do I know if the research work is good or not. This question is intended foe me as well. Since we are doing research now. For me, research is somehow like searching or studying a specific idea based from the past or creating your own idea as well. A good research is not based on the perspective of the researcher alone, it should be validated and studied for a period of time. Because of this, based on my understanding alone, a good research work is not only based on the researchers own idea of creating the research. It should be validated and the work should answer the question of why do such research. Meaning, a good research work answers the question of the researcher or in other words it provides a conclusion.

From the second question, how are they being evaluated, here is my answer. I will now base my answer on the answers provided by Ann. Since we gather the same section. First is the reusability. Reusability in the sense that the research work alone is not intended to end there. Research alone is rising every year. Meaning the research is usable for a long period of time and not intended to end. Everyday, we are doing research works. In creating a research, the work must be understandable to the next one using it. That’s one of the criteria in evaluating research work. Next is originality. Research, mostly, is based on past ideas. In creating research, the research that is done within your time should perhaps have the same idea from past. But not really having the same concepts cause it can be said to be plagarism. “The core idea should be original. A pioneering paper may face more challenges during reviewing (which is inherently conservative) than an incremental paper, but the most cited papers are pioneering papers. I will cite your paper if I use an idea of your paper is one of the oldest references I can find for that idea.” On real basis, the mean point of the second criteria is dealing on own’s idea. Researcher have their own idea, each researcher have their own idea. Next is effectiveness. “There should be some experiment evidence that the core idea works better than th past ideas or better than reasonable baselines. Reviewers care deeply about this, I will want to use your idea if you can show me that it works on tasks that I care about.” Research is not on papers alone, it should become helpful in such a way that it would provide some solutions to the first question on the first part of doing the research. Next is the timeliness. The urgency of the topic why is it being done now, not yesterday, and not tomorrow. While no number of sources can be called automatically "enough," the assignment requires that you find sources of sufficient quality to support what you say you know about your topic. Scholarly sources are preferable, but in some disciplines the popular-scholarly source can be used for support if corroborated by scholarly sources. See me for advice about this. In the end, though, one of the most complex and subtle measures of your readiness for upper-division college writing will be your ability to match source quantity and quality to the strength of claims made by your thesis and the demands your readers are likely to make.Articles are the sources of the most recent and most tightly focused analysis on your topic. Students who rely on books because OLLI is easier to use, or because books appear to have "more on the topic," are still thinking at a pre-college level. They do not understand how quickly book-length manuscripts become outdated, and how books' much larger theses can make it difficult for students to extract useful support from them without misunderstanding what they are borrowing. Take seriously the task of reading scholarship in your field. The popular works available will not give you the authority to say things that will persuade your professors. You can use popular-scholarly journals and scholarly reference works to give you a "ladder of expertise" so that you can read professional scholars' work, but you eventually will have to join the dialogue they are conducting several times each year in their field's scholarly journals. You can learn a lot from "negative success" at reading scholarly work, too. If you are trying your hardest, using all the aids available (including asking teachers in the subject for help), and you still cannot read the scholarship near the end of your first year of study, you probably should rethink your intended major.

In creating a full blown or a significant research, it must be said to have a good research topic, in which it was never been easy to us. Really, creating the topic alone is difficult, maybe because the theme is too broad to be identified clearly, or maybe because, it was me who made it difficult.

Research, to be defined first, is actually creating or revising what is being searched before. That’s why it is called research. Research then is something that is on your own idea, formulating a solution to problem. But somehow to me, research is a problem. Joke. In formulating a research topic, it must be in accordance to the theme, to the trend, and somehow helpful. That’s why it is called research by then.

I remember what our instructor said about our lesson in research. Research is not about just passing the subject alone, but creating or evaluating an idea that is on the trend this time together with the theme with matching on the level of the studies of the researchers. Actually, what really makes hard on creating a research topic is the fact that it will be implemented on the later run. I hate programming or creating systems. I don’t know why I ended up becoming a 4th year student only to find out that programming is not my forte, so much for that discussion. Next, in formulating a research topic, it must be in line with the theme, which is green campus computing and it should be a technical report on which it must consist of statistics, graphs, or a program itself. Green campus computing or green computing is a broad topic to be discussed. On our advocacy last year about it, green computing is somehow creating or making a possible simple solution to the new trend technology today on how to use it properly. Then, somehow, technicalities are not on the sense of it, on the first look. But actually, it has many ideas but somehow not on the level of knowledge of an IT or a CS student. There are some being done as a gadget, green gadget that is intended to be provided as an alternative to the one being used today. But actually, that was not the real question. I was just bluffing because it is not that really simple in creating a research topic, even the topic itself.

The real question is “What do you think is the role of research topic in deciding your future career?”. Like what I have discussed in above paragraph, research is somehow a document that it is intended to solve problems with simple ideas, or somehow solving big problems with your idea based on readings, article, facts, and books.
Like what I said again on the paragraph above, creating research topic is not that easy. Once you create a research problem, the researcher must first ask himself / herself with what might be the possible problems to be tackled. And that makes me think that research topic is somehow not that difficult to find, it’s the problem to be solved is the difficult one.

During the day wherein almost my classmate’s research proposal has been approved, it was in me who made it difficult. The first that comes out from my mind is that, what might be the problems that should or might be intended to be solved in line with the theme and should be simple but helpful? In the real world alone, without analyzing what we are doing, we are actually creating our own research topic. We are solving our problem in a sense of putting things together. After the class, me and my partner went out to the field and keep looking at the world around us. In that scenario, I was actually seeing the deep side of the world on which I never seen before. There were lots of problems to be discussed, it’s just were taking things simply, not seriously.
What do you think is the role of research topic in deciding my future career? I really don’t know the answer. Joke. The role of research topic in deciding my future career is simple, but I can’t explain. Joke again. In this question, it made me think that is it really a great help for me? My former classmates once told me that research is a great help for me especially in applying for job. It’s one of the basis or factor to tell that you are adequate or have a reasonable qualification to be hired. But not all research topics are good. Research topics are all acceptable, but not all are good. What if the research is for 30 years ago application solution, so it’s not on the trend, so one factor that it is a big help for my future career is after my career as a student here in university.

On the real world basis, actually, once a person has a problem, that person should or must have the guts to solve it. He or she is actually creating his or her own research documentation with implementation. Just like in research alone, it must have a problem to be solved. So in real world, research is really in working. Another thing, it is somehow creating your own research topic to be discussed and to have a formulation of creating solution to the problem.
The conclusion is that research topic is not only formulated or become useful in the economy alone, or in the industry or after graduation, research topic is somehow become useful even in the daily living. We do actually researches every day, it’s just we don’t tend to evaluate it as a research in real.

Summary:

In this paper, the researcher studied about the one-sender-multiple receiver transmission technique. It allows a sender to send multiple receivers on the same frequency simultaneously by utilizing multiple antennas at the sender. For the researchers, the OSMR has the potential to significantly improve the downlink performance of wireless LANs, because of this; they can send distinct packets to multiple computers at the same time. They studied this research in Florida State University and done lots of experiments. Since this research topic is technical, they gathered data in done lots of statistical solutions. They focused on the problem maximizing network throughout and did propose a simple algorithm. The algorithm is simple and did suitable for the implementation with inexpensive processors.

Evaluation:

The abstract of the study is only one paragraph and with few words only but it directs to the point of what the study is all about. Since that the study is more on very technicality, and the statistics formulas is very broad to understand, it was defined very well. They had a graphical solution, formulas, and experiments. Though they never mentioned it, I mean the methodology they used.

The whole paper was kind of confusing stuff for me. Like what I said during my sharing time, research paper don’t have specific format, but on this paper, what I have discussed is not really the same. What I noticed is that every experimentation they done, they put it in another title. Then, at the final part was their conclusion. The conclusion is somehow similar to the abstract. Since they were really at it to solve or to create solutions which are stated in the abstract.

In other words, this study focuses on the prediction of Linux date time to be next released. The word is released is being used to mean a subset of a software system’s functionality that is released to users for testing, use, and feedback. The research they have conducted is to examine the time a Linux kernel is to be released and within that time is there a chance that the software is reliable. With this, they did gather lots of factors to determine the time. Since that it determining the time, it requires lots of factors then. They used the decision tree to ease the understanding and interpreting the time. They did experimental validation as well as open issues and future works.

Evaluation:

The abstract was just a glimpse of what the study is all about. The problem was being discussed in the introduction and motivation. There were only 5 chapters being discussed in this topic: The introduction, the framework, the validation of experiments, the open issues and future works, and the conclusion. What they discussed is just a brief summary of what they conducted. Actually, it is simple compare to the first research topic I have listed. And it is easier to understand though they still use statistics on it. The topic was really understandable. And on their conclusion, they conclude the answer to their problem. Though at first it was just hypnosis, at the end, after experimentation and statistical methods they done, they come up to a certain answer.

Summary:

In this paper, it introduced and illustrates the use of the project entropy metric to understand the dynamics of allocating resources across software projects. They also forwarded a hypothesis regarding the limit to which resource reallocation to enhance user satisfaction and outlined plans for further empirical validation of their ideas. In this research, the project entropy is a formula to testify the percentage of the user to accept particular software after its release. They still have hypnosis and hypothesis in gathering and formulating solutions. Meaning, they undergo simulation.

Evaluation:

It still has the same kind of paper on the previous research paper. Since that they have the same researcher. Like above, it provides the certain solution or answer based on their experimentation and simulation. Then the chapters included in this research also has 5 chapters.

Last July 2 of this year, there was a conference held at the Apo View Hotel. COMDDAP (Computer Manufacturer Distributors and Dealers Association of the Philippines) provides lots of seminars for the manufacturers and for the student as well. Actually, the seminars were conducted in three consecutive days.

The event started late because the seminar before the next seminar finished late. So we roamed around the booth outside the conference room and took all the flyers they are giving. What was captured my attention is the digital camera’s by the CANON company. I really wanted to have my own digital camera since that it is not that just a gadget to me but a useful gadget as well. It captures memories you know. Then there were also a huge kind of printer, though I’ve already seen one in our OJT. It is useful for engineering print outs. The other one is the POS machine or the Post on Sales. Before, I did see that one during my Jollibee days, but I really don’t know the meaning of POS, now I know. It was a POS for restaurant purpose. We had a free ballpen given by the GH Depot. There were also free accesses of internet in the hallway. We were not the only students attended the seminars. I’ve seen from UM, UIC and Ateneo de Davao University.

The first seminar was being discussed by that I have attended was being discussed by Mr. Celster Santos, a representative of the Jupiter Company which deals with the Jupiter Systems Inc. and tackles about the ERIC DMS or the Brilliant Dealer Management System. The system has its own specification. First it monitors sales executive activities, the systems also monitors the sales from initial inquiry to actual close, it also process sales quotation, it also supports sales of new and used vehicles, it also demands multiple pricing and discounting schemes, it also deals with financing and insurance transactions, the vehicle inventory, it records incident and customer resolution, it provides reports and queries, it has an interface that suits the manufacturer, it has highly graphical technician assignment and loading window, it also provides customer appointment, it has customer/vehicle service history, it has technician time-in/time-out, it has parts requisitioning, and it has control parts and consumable costs.
Actually, I really didn’t pay attention to the first seminar since it only deals with the manufacturers of cars. Since that the system are for car dealers. If he discussed the prototype of the coding of the system, maybe I would be interested. But the topic doesn’t catch up my interest. Maybe if I owned a car manufacturer company, I’d rather be interested. But somehow there were still few participants who get interested on the system. The system was nice since that it is complete and the manufacturer won’t ask for more about it. My question was, until now, is that it can be Open source? I mean, what if the manufacturer decides to create a new event to the system, does the system analysts can manipulate the system? Or what will the manufacturer have? Is it an executable file already or with codes? Well, like what I said, it is still a big question to me.

The next seminar is about the HP thin client. On which it catch up my attention since that after the seminar they will be giving prizes to those who really listened well. I have seen some thin client in a computer shop before, but HP thin client is quiet interesting and different. The thin client doesn’t have CD ROMS and hard drives. Then what was really interesting, it has 8 or 7 ports of flash drive. And not only that, it has a security for two ports. It is quiet good especially to those who forgot pulling out their USB. There were lots of advantages the thin client has. First, it has lower IT administration cost, easier to secure since it is thin, it enhanced data security, lower hardware cost since it don’t have CD ROMS and hard drives, it consume less energy, it has easier hardware failure management, worth less to most thieves since that there were no parts on it that has bigger costs, it can be operated in a hostile environment, what I remember is that it can still work within 40 degrees Celsius, it has less network bandwidth, it is usable efficiently in computing resources, it has simple hardware upgrade path, lower noise, and less hardware waste. And what was really amazing is that once it is affected with viruses, just reboot it and it will be back to normal. Isn’t that interesting? Then, the product can be put in other ways. Since it is thin. One picture they let us see is that the thin client product is put in the wall and put at the back of the monitor. Hassle free and it is not space consuming. Though the speaker really speaks fast that time, he can still attract the listeners to listen, and very well, the product is really interesting.

During this topic, I was really interested since they were giving freebies. At what I said, they will give prizes to those who listened and answer the question. And luckily, I get one of the freebies. 2 gig of data traveler flash drive. Kind of disappointed since that I really wanted to get the t-shirt. But still, I was happy for my prize. On this event, my question is how much is the prize of the product. Since that it is use as the server, is it possible to use it as a desktop system unit? Well, actually, it was being answered that it is preferable to use in a big company as a server not as a desktop computer. And like in the topic of one of my classmate in research, is it really appropriate for the University to use it? Since that we have the cost cutting scenario, would the university adopts it?

After the event, me and my friends went to Gaisano South mall for a window shopping, and went home after.

Last Sunday, June 28, at Bankerohan Gym, few of the hosts of Eat Bulaga went to Davao to conduct the Karambola sa Kabayanan, a summer special show which gives fun to the people around Philippines. And luckily the last town they wnt is Davao City..

Actually, my whole family is really a big Kapuso Fan, especially there noon time show, Eat Bulaga. I really like Joey de Leon and Jose Manalo. So my mother and I decided to join the show that time. Infairness, malayo ang Bankerohan since that taga Buhangin kami. When we arrived at the place, me and my mother went directly sa gym. Hindi kasi naman alam na bibili pa pala kami ng tickets to get it. We supposed to buy any of the sponsors; Rebisco Biscuits, Sunsilk, Maggi, Tiki-tiki, Alaxan, and Eight Oclock. Since we dont have any plans to eat lunch, dinamihan na lang namin ang pagbili ng Bicsuits. Nakapasok kami sa gym around 10am. Then that time, the EMCEE was picking contestants in the parlor games. And my mom luckily joined in. Funny lang masyado kasi she was dancing the Kagat Labi dance and stepped up sa chair para makita lang siya ng EMCEE. Thanks to the idea of a guy na nagturo sa kanya para umakyat sa silya. And luckily, nanalo ang group ni mama sa sack race ala namamalengke style. She won P1000 and a Maggi products, TShirt and a mug.

What really funny thing happened that day all happened to me ofcourse. Since kami lang dalawa ni mama ang nagpunta sa place, I joined into a group of people I don't know. I thought na magkakakilala sila, hindi rin pala. Ajejeje. But what was funny is during the time na naghahanap ang EMCEE ng mag-asawang pair for the Pinoy Henyo game. And I love watching that game kaya nagahanap me ng partner. Tinapik ko yung guy na di ko kakilala and asked if we could be a couple for that time. Natakot kasi siya kasi mag-asawa ang hinahanap. Baka daw kasi hanapan kami ng marraige certificate. Then I agreed to him lang naman. But, there were no married couple na lumapit, so the EMCEE decided to call out all mag-syota lang. I was texting that time then all of a sudden kinuha niya ang kamay ko and handed me towards the center aisle. Meaning, nagkaroon ako bigla ng syota for that day. What was funny is that noong nasa gitna na kami nagpakilala with each other. The guy is game about it. During the interview portion, ako lang ang sumasagot noong tinanong na kami about us, where did we meet and when naging kami. Funny thing, noong June 12 lang naging kami. Shocking noh. After the game one of the host of Eat Bulaga asked us to kissed each other. That's the time na kinabahan na talaga ako. And what I answered was "anjan mama ko". But then, pinilit pa rin kami nung host to the kiss, pinagbigyan na lang. Charut. He did kissed me, but not on the lips, sa cheeks lang. Sayang noh?? Joke lang. But unfortunately, we didn't win the game. And after the show, I was laughing all the time because I had a 6hours boyfriend.

The show was fun, especially when my mama won one of the games. Nakakain kami ng lunch around 5 pm , lunch pa yan. And whats really nice about it is that, kasali na yung nagka-syota ako bigla, joke, really, its about having new friends. Ang dami ko kasing nakilala that time eh.

Insourcing is not that kind of different word for me. Since we tackled this during our Management Information Systems subject. Literally, insourcing means doing a certain job inside or within the comprise of a certain organization. Before, as we tackled about this matter, it was been discussed that the University is using Outsource Programming. The difference of it is that the programmer in insource works inside the campus unlike outsourcing, the programmer works outside the campus. It was been said that outsource is more appropriate for Universities.

But first tackling about insourcing, let me first discuss about the benefits of outsourcing. I have read an article about benefits of outsourcing. First there is an increase of the business. It was quoted in there that, “another benefit of outsourcing is seeing a big increase in your profits, productivity, level of quality, business value, business performance and much more. Outsourcing can help you see an increase in almost every aspect of your business. Outsource and see your organization experience an increase in every aspect with these benefits of outsourcing”. Next is that it guarantees the customer's satisfaction. In outsourcing, the programmer develops it and well do his job according to the need of the business or the user. It then guarantees that the job is done on time and delivered it to the customer on the day the customer suggested it to be delivered. The other one is that the business can concentrate more on the core business. Meaning the University can then manage the campus accordingly without any trouble on thinking for what might happened on the work he wants to accomplish. “By outsourcing all your non-core functions, your employees can be put to better use and you will be able to see a huge growth in your core business”. Then lastly, it gives the business a competitive edge. Since that it was made outside, the programmer has its own idea on how to deal your business not far level from your competitors. It deals on what's new on the outside world, and deals also on what might be the possible effect on it on the later part. That might actually be the reason why USEP uses outsourcing resources be fore.

But then again, the question is, what would be the possible reasons why the University tapped Insourcing from Outsourcing. Still, there are benefits about Insourcing. And these reasons might be the reasons why did the University jumped to Insourcing from Outsourcing. First, it reduces cost. The cost of an Insource professional can be lesser than of an Outsource Professional. As far as I'm concerned with the University, the big concern of it is to reduced cost in any way. But to my view, the Insource Professionals hired by the University can also be competed to those Outsource Professionals based on there skills. I'm not saying this because there were my Instructors before, but I'm saying this because in reality they were really good. But as to my complain as well, the exchanged of it is thrown to us. Next benefit of Insourcing is that it can increased professionals by 2 or more with the cost similar to a single outsourcing. In a short way, the University can really lessen its cost. The other benefit of Insourcing is the direct management. They can hands-on control the development and cycle of the project. The management can really implies what he really wants fir the project and can manage it accordingly. Another one is turnkey services. According to what I have read, “In-Source provides a turnkey solution including facilities, recruitment, human resource management, payroll and benefits administration, tax filings, and communication tools, so you can spend more time focused on your core business”. It also reduce operational expenses. It can also extend productivity time. Since that the professionals is within the University, the management can easily contact the professionals to shift or overlap the working time to create the project lesser on time. And since Insourcing can lessen the cost, it also increase the company's profit. I believe that University acquires more employee now than of last year, and because of that, they really need to drop expenses in any manner they can do.

Really, it was a big surprise last year, second semester that our Instructors withdraws there teaching time to create the new system that was used last enrollment. For creating the new system that was being used during this enrollment really gives me a headache. Arranging the new windows and the new enrollment system really gives me a hard time pointing what to do next. But honestly, it was an easy new routine. Though the only new about it is the registrars line. But then it was not that good for freshmen though I think they did the enrollment for three days or more. The system was a bit nicer compare to the old one, but the idea of Insourcing is not that nice for me.

For me, it was not that really a good idea to have an insource. Since that the professionals on it are teachers. The more affected results on it are the students. It doesn't really lessen the cost or the expenses, for me, it was really the reason of jumping. But then again, by looking for it, the University needs another instructors to cater the need for the students. Then, if they really want to lessen the cost and expenses of the University, why don't they try to minimize the expanding of buildings, creating of new one then never did finished. The only thing I see was already fully furnished is the fence. Why don't they try to think not only for there own benefits but to the student's benefit. One thing, there not the one walking and running back and forth to the school, its the student who do those things.

It was quiet funny remembering what our Professor told us about our blog entries. Its jokes, poems, or love stories. And after how many months without publishing anything in this blog, here I’ am, commenting on what my friend said and this time, about Love. What's new by the way?

Isn't it really wonderful hearing the words of Love. But sometimes it overused. That even a person don’t have something feelings on someone, he/she can use it. Like what Lady said, Love is magic. Magic pala talaga, how I wished I know how that magic can be used properly. But so much for that. She said that once you are in love, you can violate laws and rules. True. But why is it like that?? Why once we are in love, we are blinded by our own feelings?? Why is it that we only feels the happiness and not the risk by getting hurt?? Sad but true. Whew. The one speaking this words, I mean ME, pretends that she never did do those things before. Well, actually, I did. It's just, I’m just as weak as other person, and tend to pretend strong, and tend to pretend that I learned even though I keep on doing those same things again and again. It's just sound true to me but in the end, once I let myself feel the same feelings again, it's over and done. All the things I thought I learned will automatically vanish.

She also said that forgiving and forgetting always accompanies love. Meaning, that even the awful thing one person could do for you as long as you love that person, never really matters. What matters is that the person accepts his/her mistake/s, ask for forgiveness and promise that he/she won’t do that again. But what if that person did the same thing twice, thrice, or many times already. When do really loves occur?? When do really loves still can be called as love?? When can a certain person proves to that someone that she/he loves that someone?? When does heart can forgive and forget?? Kailan ba ang limitation ng pusong magpatawad at the same time, kailan ba ito magsasawa?? If you really love that someone, will the heart tend to forgive even though its too much pain is at risk?? Even though you look stupid behind it.

Im not sayin that I never did tried forgiving the person I love from my past. But in return, he did betray me for doing the same things again behind my back. In that case, I tend ti think for myself. Its better getting hurt by losing that person than receving much pain from that same person. I don't believe in the saying that there are many fishes in the ocean. Kasi kahit gaano pa karami ang isda sa dagat, you will never tend to teach your heart whom to fell in love with. React?? Again, I dont believe that there is someone out on the traffic light who is deserving to each one of us. For me, each has the capability and capacity to be the right one. But if he/she is never meant for you, it will never be even if how hard you tried on it. And lastly, I dont believe in DESTINY. Kung sa text nga, if destiny mo is not so so likely creature, can you accept it?? But then again, well never know, malay mo, siya talaga ang para sayo. If someone comes along, I believe it has a reason. And that reason can be answered if you worked things out together

I remember one text message from a friend. Being with someone you have right now is not by DESTINY, it’s a choice. Its not also that destiny decides who you fell in love with. It’s your choice. Its the choice between two people that relationships last. Its they're choice to work with it, fight for it, and to make it last. If one relationship fails, it the choice of one of the two to let ot fail. Its not only that love last the relationship. Love binds them and get into a relationship. Cause for me, love fades, no matter how great it is.

...Steps fOr mOving On aftER a bReAk-Up...

I have read an article about steps on moving on after breaking up. This is a simple article on how to move on after a great heartbreak. Written by, Caro Handley entitled "The Moving on Masterplan".

Stage one
1) Don’t see him
If he has to come to the flat, arrange for someone else to be there. Ban him from dropping in casually and ask him to remove the rest of his stuff as soon as possible.

2) Don’t contact him
No more ‘how are you getting on’ emails or ‘I’ve just found that shirt of yours’ phone calls. Forget about excuses to get in touch. It just keeps you hanging in there and hoping. If he’s contacting you, ask him not to.

3) Don’t go to the empty cupboard
Trying to find ways to fix or get back a relationship you know in your heart is over is like going to an empty cupboard hoping that instead of a few crumbs you’ll find a big fat loaf there. You won’t, and as long as you’re going back to that cupboard you won’t see the deliciously full one just around the corner. Close the door on it and walk away.

4) Talk about him less
Going over every detail of what happened with friends may feel comforting initially, but after a few weeks it’s time to stop. Friends get bored and you get stuck. So be very selective about what you say and the people you say it to and start talking about other things.

5) Stop giving yourself a hard time
So you weren’t perfect. Well neither was he. You both did your best to make it work and it didn’t. Put it down to experience and forget about blaming him or yourself. Blaming anyone hurts only you and holds you back from recovery.

6) Think of yourself as over it
Imagine a date a few weeks away when instead of feeling awful you’ll wake up and know you’re over it. The sun will come out, gorgeous men will appear from nowhere and you’ll feel like going out and living life again. Why wait? Draw that day towards you, so that it becomes tomorrow. Feel the excitement of knowing you did it, you survived and life is good again. Now hang onto that feeling.

Stage two
1) Feel GorgeousSelf-esteem takes a tumble after a break-up and you have to rebuild it step by step. Feeling Gorgeous is vital, and anyone can do it. Tell yourself you’re sexy, charismatic, bright and desirable – and listen to friends who think you are too. Act Gorgeous by pampering yourself, even if you don’t feel like it and don’t think it will make a difference. Believe me, it will!

2) Start Flirting
What’s important now is to meet lots of people, men and women, and talk, smile, flirt, take an interest and laugh with them. Life as part of a couple often limits contact with other people. Now it’s time to get really sociable.
Don’t know how to meet people? This is an excuse to hide behind. If you want to meet people, you will. Make a list, right now, of all the ways you could do this. Join an evening class you’ve always wanted to take such as Italian. Try something physically demanding such as rock climbing or arrange a get-together with old friends.

3) Take your time
Don’t jump hastily into any romantic relationships. The rule tends to be that if you rush in fast it will end fast too. So go slowly. If you fancy someone, great, but hold back for a while and remember that this new you is in charge and needn’t hurry.

Husky isn't it. But actually, the best way to move on is finding time for yourself to be happy even without your partner. How to do that, a very simple view, do it with friends.

I want to pretend that nothing has broken, though honestly, something has been broken. Char.. I don't really want to react whats inside me and I don't want to talk about it anymore. According to a text message, a psychologist added that the more you tried to forget someone, the more you remember that person unconsciously. Actually, I really feels that nothing has been broken since I was just crying because I wanted to cry. But the truth behind this is that, I cant feel the pain. I know there's still pain inside, but I guess that it was just what I think about. That there's still pain, and nothing but pain.

I've decided that I must move on. Forget everything that happened and let go of the past that almost destroyed me. Char. Honestly, I don't know where to start and how to start moving on. My friends keep telling me that I should and must divert my attention to another thing. But what could that be? And how could that help me? Well, moving on must be according to my will and guts. If i really want to let him go, and get away from the pain, I should do everything, my will and my motivation to forget him. Though, not really to forget him, but to let go of the feelings.

Last February, during the Valentine's event on or church, it is about Love, courtship, and marriage. The pastor said that it's God who will give the right person, at the right time, Before, I told myself that there is no one called to be deserving person for a certain person, but I knew that there is someone like that. I just told myself about that because I can't face the fact that the person I'm inlove with is not the right one for me. That even if I wanted him to be what others called deserving person in me, I know it wont happen because I know that he dont want it to be. Meaning, love has no reason, but if the feeling is gone, it will find thousands of excuses. I'm so stupid asking for signs on which if it is answered, I wont accept it, and asking for another signs. Or in other ways, im seeing it as the reverse of the real meaning.

I love him, I still do. That's why I'm doing this for me to become happy.

Last February 27, of this year, me and my fellow SCHOLARS Youth, together with our beloved pastor and his family went to Catalunan Grande to relay the words of God that he had given us. Actually, I'm just a somewhat we called joiners to the group. You will just find out by looking at the pictures below. During this night, we had a all night celebration with the SCHOLARS Band and of course by hearing the words of GOD. It was an overwhelming event since that the youth at Catalunan participated in the said YOUTH CRUSADE. God is really wonderful that time because he stopped the rain, and even though mag-rain pa xa, we will still continue to create a slam bang crusade at the place.

This picture was taken after the event. Actually, naglilinis na lng kami nito. We had the crusade at the covered court sa Catalunan, kaya okey pa rin ang place.

The picture at the right ang nagpapatunay na joiner lang ako. They were all wearing the same shirt, ako lang ang hindi. Huhuhu.. But still, I'm proud to be a scholar.

Para hindi ma-offend, I had a solo pic. Jejeje..

It was really an overwhelming and heartbreaking event seeing the youth sa Catalunan na umiiyak when they had the chance to hear and experience God in them. Nakaka-touch seeing them after being prayed over by our pastor na talagang umiiyak sa ila with all their hearts. I prayed that another event like this will happened again.

Barkada, ka-berks, d’barkads, whatever you call it, still it have one meaning, group of closest friends. I know that each of us have what we called friends who we can laugh or cry with, giggling every time crushes passes by, teasing each other, and problem adviser. Imposible masyado na sa isang tao, wala siyang matatawag na bestfriends. In fact, kahit gaano pa kasama ang isang tao, may kaibigan pa ring aalalay sa kanya. One saying defines that birds of the same feathers are the same birds. But that was just a joke. What I really mean is that birds of the same feathers flock together. So meaning, out of millions and millions people in the world, there’s still what we called true friends. Kaya nga nabuo ang barkada.

But not all the time, friends share laughter, fun, and smiles. There are also moments in our lives that we let our closest friend to be a stranger in our life, for the reason that they become our mortal enemy because of a simple argument or misunderstanding. Each barkada has its own story to tell. Like mine, I belong to a barkada that silent for a while and talks all the time. But it’s accepted, I’m one of the evidence. Still, our barkada has its own problem as well.

Why do barkada’s ended up separated? Naks, porang mag-asawa. Of course, friends treat each other as brothers and sisters. Kumbaga, magkakadugtong na ang sikmura. Sometimes, I asked myself what would be the reason that our barkada is not anymore what I called the barkada I belong, before. Reason? It’s the permanent thing in this world, CHANGE! Some friends don’t have time for each other. Or one member of the group fell in love with the other member and his/her time revolves to that person. That even if magkasama kayo, your presence is not felt. Or more likely, they will ask that could you give us moments together? Gosh ha, magakasama na nga the whole day. Or other would step out of the group because he/she has something important matter to do. Chicks2x kumabaga, or guy hunting. Though I’m not really as in against having lovelife, mayroon naman din kasi ako. I really don’t understand the situation na pag may dumating na friend, maiilang ka na lang na pansinin siya because your not hanging out much often, or more likely, your not really hanging out together again. Then, what happened? Wala, nasira lang naman ang grupo because of that,

I remembered quotable quote given to me by my other friend. It says that “uunahin talaga ang boyfriend/girlfriend kesa sa mga kaibigan, but when hurting moments come, kanino lalapit?? Sa friends pa rin tatakbo”. I hate hearing that statement cause it feels like takbuhan lang ang mga kaibigan sa kalungkutan but couldn’t even share there happiness. Like what I have said, I’m not really against having relationship or whatever, I just don’t want change. It’s just; I feel that others don’t know what’s going on while others are really affected. Or they already knew there’s something happening, they just don’t care. How sad if that’s the case. And how sad, its happening within my group of friends.

Well, got this idea of creating my top 5 most embarrassing moment from Moi2x. I read his article about this and got kind of jealousy. Joke. Jejejeje. La Lang. I do have many of this man but then again, yung memorable moments na lng.. Jejeje..

As 20 years passes in my life, of course we got this unexpected and funny moments we had. That if we are going to reminisce it, we cant help but laugh. And I would like to share this memorable moments in my life.

Top 5:
This happened when I was still in grade school. I was in grade 3 that time then we were playing what we called soccer during our age. Actually, ang gamit naming bola that time is a softball. Then, I'm so boastful that time na I keep on smirking to my friends saying na mas malayo yung sipa ko this time as of to my other team mates. Then when the ball touches the ground and going directly with me, it was so kakahiya that I didn't hit the ball and instead I fell off the ground with a loud bang sound. Then my friends all laugh at me since that I was really big when I was still in grade school. How embarassing.

Top 4:
Still in grade school. When I was in Grade 5 this time, I remember that it was Easter Sunday. I'm with my family. My mother hold my hand for that time cause there were really a huge crowd in our church. Hindi ko talaga binitawan ang kamay ng mama ko and she did the same way kasi baka mawala ako. Though malaki na rin ako that time, still bata pa rin. I didnt even know how to cross the street that time. I already knew that process when I was in 6th grade. Hatid sundo kasi ako ng mama ko till my 5th grade. So they taught me how to cross the street that time kasi naman sa lahat ng classmates ko ako na lng ang hindi marunong tumawid ng kalsada at the age of 11. Well,so much for that. The story really is that nakalingon lang ako sandali then I was holding another arm. Hindi kamay ng mama ko ang hawak ko. I was really ashamed about it because they keep on staring at me and keep om smiling. Kakahiya talaga ginawa ko.

Top 3:
I'm already in college noong nangyari to. We were sitting at the bench, front ng eagle statue sa USEP. We were waiting for our grades in English that time and then waiting for our grade in CWTS as well. Andun ako with friends. Then, we thought of mumbling words everytime may dumaan. Naglolokohan lang kami that time. When one group of boys passed by saying a very funny name. Sa sabrang tawa ko, nahulog ako sa bench. As in sa likod talaga. Then what made it worst is noong nasali pa yung isa kung friend na nahulog. Then hindi pa ako naka recover that time, kahit pinagtatawanan na nila ko coz my position that time is naka upo nako sa root ng acacia tree with my feet hanging sa log, I just couldnt help but laugh to my extent with the name I have heard. Tinutulungan na nila akong umahon, di pa rin ako makatayo kasi tawa pa rin ako ng tawa. And it really hurts. One lesson I have learned from that time is never to eavesdrop again.

This happened noong college na ako. I was first year college this time and ofcourse, naganap t osa USEP's ground. It was our first P.E. class na sinout namin ang uniform. But actually, wala kaming class that time. Our instructor told us that we can play na lng. So we decided to play "tigsu", para siyang habul-habulan here in Davao na may kasaling home base. Well, so much for the discussion about the game. Then the game started. Actually, I'm not really good in running. I'm so slow and evertything. La lang magawa and naglaro lang talaga ako. Part of the game yung pag na-touch ka ng kalaban is you will go to their base and stay there until one of your mates touches your hand or palm and then its a score. What happened is that, nagtakbuhan na lahat and then all of a sudden biglang sumulpot ang isang kasama sa ibang team. Though girl siya by heart, still malakas pa rin siya. And accidentally, he pushed me and I fell off sa ground. As in bumulagta talaga ako sa grounds. And my other classmates who didn't play run towards me and asked if I'm okei. Pati mukha ko that time was covered with grasses. Maputik kasi that time and gosh my white uniform turned to green. Sa sobrang hiya ko coz they were already laughing, nagtakip na lng ako ng mukha and laugh as well. Wala na rin akong nagawa noon. It was just a game.

Top 1:
This happened when I was in 4th year high school. I had a crush named Kenneth that time and he was a third year student. Wala lang kaming magawa ng friend ko that time and naisip naming sundan siya sa bahay nila. Stalking kumbaga. And it was layo there house ha. As in Matina Aplaya talaga. Then when we get there, bigla lang siyang pumara sa jip and we jumped off into our seat hearing the front seat door opened. Then automatic reaction, bumaba din kami. What happened is that are cellphones that time was lowbat. And we really dont know saan ang bahay nila. What we did with my friend is pumasok kami sa alley and tumambay sa isang tindahan. We dont know that the front house of that store is there house. Wala lang, tambay lang kami and a guy from the carwash went sa store. And he asked us what got us there. So we said that we are looking at our classmates house. Then all of a sudden, the door of there house opened and I was standing that time looking directly sa house. Then all of a sudden the gate opened and whaat, lumabas lang siya bigla. And noong nakita niya ako, agad2x siyang pumasok sa bahay nila then kami kumaripas ng takbo.

I couldn't believe it myself what's happening with me. Just this January, something weird happened to me. Though one of my friends said that it is natural for me to become weird, its just I just couldn't find the right explanations or statement to explain what's happening with me. But actually, so far I'm happy.

It's again February and it's a love month, anyway. So don't mind me writing something here that is about love. Though it sounds corny and all that, but what shall you expect in a girl like me. Whew. As what my friend says, "Kamu dAw ma-inLove beh". Corny diba?? But actually, I'm not quite sure if this I'm feeling right now is somewhat called love. Don't know really. And that is the problem I'm facing this time. But then, I like this guy so much. I think I'm getting there. But I dont know when would that time come. All I know is that I'm happy with him, and hoping that he's happy too. Gosh, what am I writing here right now.

And here is the real problem, were not that really close. Even though that we meet in our church, were not that really close. We dont talk that often. I was just playing around with him after the fellowship. Then, that starts that something and ended up something. If you dont understand whats that something is about, then dont force yourself to know it. My mom and my elder brother met him already, and as far as I'm concerned, he's just the second guy that I introduced to my mom. I dont know the reaction of my mother, she never said anything. Well, so much for that topic. And what I'am worrying about is that i just broke up with my last bf(kuno!) last Thursday. See?? I have done something worst and terrible things, well, I guess for me. And that previous bf(kuno!) of mine already knew that I have a new already. Gosh again, what am I writing. But actually, what I have written here are true.

I just write something here cause I really don't understand whats happening to me. And I really want an advice. I'm just scared about what would people would say about me. I know that people really judged someone as if they knew the deeper attitude or the inside of that someone. I dont want to be judged by doing something stupid. But I just couldn't find myself doing the wrong thing, neither doing the right one. All I know is just I'm happy right now, and on the othe side, worrying about something I dont want to worry about. I'm worrying about my ex's(kuno!) reaction. I just cou;dn't find myself happy with him. There are lots of worries that fills me everytime we are together, and I couldn't feel his presence after all, same with that I coldn't feel he feels the same way as what I have feel to him, but that was jus t before. Right now, I also couldn't explain the happiness and worry of what would happen tomorrow. But then, all I could see or vision about is what the Bible says. "Dont worry for tomorrow, let tomorrow worry itself. There's a lot of things to be worried today!". Gosh. Worrying about something that doesn't really need to be worry. You get what I mean??

Basically, we have just did an IS plan in our distinguish company during our MIS 1. And based on our papers for that matters, it requires more consideration to be followed, but more likely there are more factors to be considered. Especially if we are talking about how to expedite this plan to the university.

And listed below are the factors to be considered:

Project Orientation:
It is similar to what Hannah and Jonard have said about project management. But I just use the word "Orientation" in order to emphasize that the plan or the IS plan must be tackled to the group in order for them to understand what is the plan all about. It is not that applicable that only those who did the plan understands what he did. Then it better for the people involve in the plan on what kind of involvement they will have in order for them to participate enthusiastically.

Resources Interpretation:
In creating an IS plan, whether this is for the university or a big organization, the group that designed the plan has its own resources to be interpreted in order for the user or the people involved in the plan knows what are those possible resources or data to know. During our MIS 1, we created a probable usage of hardware and software for the specific company. In that, the company might as well know what they will be needing in year after.

Training of the people involve:
People is the basic equipment of an IS Plan. Since that they're the one's using the systems or they're the one involve in the plan. Since that they are the user or the client of the plan, it must be necessary that they have the knowledge about and how to deal with the change. Since we are talking about a plan, it is guaranteed that the we are dealing with change.

I know that I tend to become lazy this past few months. I promised to myself that my new years resolution is not to become lazy again, especially on my studies. As what I have observed about what I keep doing, I just really cant focus on my studies. I keep pretending that nothings to worry about but deep in me, there are many problems to be worrying. I just disregard everything. And today, what I have done to my group mates is unacceptable. Though I have my reason of coming late, still this is not the first time I did this. And I feel that my group mates already hate me for such doing. And I don't like the feeling like that I was not part of the group anymore. Though its just my feelings on everytime this happens.

To Kate Mariel, I'm really sorry for being late every time we have an agreement of coming to school at a certain time. I know that you are the first one who arrives first. And to think that you live in Bangkal. I'm sorry. To Hannah. I know that you only have a little patient left on me. And I hope that little left will still be it. And lastly to Lady Vu. As what I have seen you later when we crossed streets, I observed that your not in good mood for anything. In other term, siguro, napul-an na jud ka sa ako. Hmmmm.. I really beg for your forgiveness.

This time, as I have stated here my apology and I'm not asking for urgent forgiveness cause I know words are not really the basis of a whole hearted apology, it must be done and work. I wont promise anything cause for me promises are made to be broken, but I'll assure you that this day would be the last day that I will do such thing. Before discussing the topic, let me first define the following. According to the meaning of radiation, it is a concept used by Weber to refer to the process by which modes of precise calculation and organization, involving abstract rules and procedures, increasingly come to dominate the social world. Business Reengineering is an approach aiming at improvements by means of elevating efficiency and effectiveness of the business process that exist within and across organizations. Business Reegineering is the analysis and redesign of workflow within and between enterprises. Lastly, paradigm shift. A Paradigm Shift is when a significant change happens - usually from one fundamental view to a different view. In most cases, some type of major discontinuity occurs as well. A Paradigm Shift as a change from one way of thinking to another. It's a revolution, a transformation, a sort of metamorphosis. It just does not happen, but rather it is driven by agents of change.

As defined above and been shown by Hannah's answer, the most radical type of change in an organization is the PARADIGM SHIFT. Based on the graph shown by Hannah, the most risky change is the paradigm shift since it is a change, a revolution, an unexpected happen occurs. It turns the organization into something new. A whole renovation, that mean. Relatively, it can be said that it is a radical change since that the organization dont have the power to fight against this change.

The diagram states the activities done by the student in USEP for the enrollment. First, the student must pay his/her miscellaneous fees in the local council. Then, he will proceed to his/her adviser for the evaluation of grades. If the student is qualified to enroll, he can then now proceed to get his PRF or the Pre- Registration Form. After signing it to the adviser for approval, he can then now proceed to encode his grades. If the student is a scholar, he will proceed to the scholars office for validation of the scholarship and proceed to the bookkeeper for the validation of his payments. If the student is a non-scholar, he will go to the cashier and pay his tuition and proceeds to the bookkeeper as well. Based on my personality type, some would say that I'm so full of self confidence. I dont have dead air when I'm talking, and most of all, so talkative. Well, as far as also I'm concerned, I admit that I'm already talkative. But every time there's a butterfly on my stomach, that is the time I dont have anything to say. And among those data gathering techniques, I'' prefer for my attitude are interviewing and document review. in most cases, everytime we are assigned on a company visit, we really undergone interviews. Interview on my part is appropriate since we or I can have some follow-up questions regarding on his/her answers. And it's better to interview a person in order to have a nice and formal conversation.

If I were to choose between adaptive and predictive, would choose more on adaptive than of the predictive side. Since our environments have the constant thing in this world, which all we know is change. I remember that was the title of my header before. Since change is constant, even if we predict our own life ahead, it will really change. What's my point is that change is everywhere. We don't know when is our time and if that really happens for us. But predicting and realizing what will going to happen to us in the years ahead is something we really have to do on which it can lead us to a brighter future.

The following would be my SLDC in life.

Planning:
Since that I have decided what will be my objectives in life, I must undergo to planning on what will be the steps in achieving it.

Resources:
My perspective about these resources is those person or thing that I’m going to have or to be with on fulfilling my objective in life. I alone can’t identify my own objective without thinking for my family and the people that surround me. Of course, they help me and mold me for who I am right now.

Stay updated in in-touch:
What I mean about the phrase is that even we are prepared and capable enough of achieving something, there are still hindrance that comes our way. Since that will happen, staying updated and knowable of what happened must also takes place.

Learn from the past:
Nobody is perfect and since we committed our mistakes, take it as a lesson learned in order not to do the same mistakes we have done before.

Make decisions wisely;
“Making right decision can cause pain, but only for a while, at the end of the day, you will just notice that you get satisfied.” Making rough decision can cause dramatic change for the right possibility of walking in the right path.

Trust God:
If that really is God’s will, even though how difficult the way towards success, it will belong to you, no matter what.

Our first proposal about this subject is, according to the first instructor, it was just a simple program so we ended up with the with a proposal given to us by the former instructor. She said that the university is looking up with a new software for the improvement of the school. Since it was been given to us by our former instructor, and she introduced the system to us, so we have decided to agree with her and get it as our propose system.

In further explanation about the topic, Sir questioned us about the proposed system we have created. Honestly speaking, I really dont know what kind of system we are about to do. But as far as I'm concerned, and having the proposal who had been given to us by our previous instructor, I would say that the proposal we created is more challenging one than the previous systems given by our instructors in programming. And what have said by our classmate during our lecture, maybe the design would not as difficult as could it imagine, but during the presentation and coding, with time pressure and other pressurized things, it would be very difficult. And I believe that the learning's we have learned before would definitely be put into this proposal.

Last December 13 and 14 was the annual PSITS Sportsfest or Philippine Society of Information Tecnhnology Students held at Brokenshire College. From the previous years, University of Mindanao, Matina Campus and University of Immaculate Conception was the host campuses of the said event. And from this years 13 campuses, including my own university and the newly added ICT recognize college, the Holy Cross of Davao College, started the PSITS Sportsfest as an exciting one. Though our school didn't really participate this year.

PSITS Opening Ceremony started with a parade. Supposedly, the parade will start at 8 am, but it started around 9:30 or 10. The school's open field and the amphitheater was really awesome. Especially the amphitheater. The stairs, the landscaped benches, and especially the court. It wa really huge and amazing. Para kaming nag-hiking, pababa nga lang. The place, it was perfect. Mas nice pa siya sa forest something ng UM Matina, though the place in UM Matina was also great. Kuya Angelo hosted the ceremony. And by 1 pm, let the game begins. Super daming schools, and ang daming cute as well. Joke. We watched the basketball game between the Brokenshire College and the Davao Del Norte State College. Brokenshire won the game. And I wasn't expecting that I will going to see my friendster friends who are studying in Brok that time. Mas cute sila in person. Joke. UM Matina and UIC followed that game. UM defeated UIC in which our crush from last years PSITS played. Then Lady Vu found her long lost soulmate. A good player of UM. And the wackiest event happened to us that time is when her crush passes by and I teased Lady Vu to him. Parang na-liver spread ata yung guy. He keeps on smiling and smirking on us. Funny. Then that time, hindi na mapalagay si Lady. She wants to know the game but unfortunately, hindi nya nakuha. Yesterdays ITE night was fabulous. Sa daming participants on each event, as in super exciting. Though boring yung ibang participants. The best part of the night was the MTV spoof and the modern dance. Funny masyado yung taga UM and yung bakla who climbed sa taas ng ring and pose their at the end of the song. Maganda man ding yung iba, but I really cant forget how fast the gay climbed the top. And nung time na bumababa na siya, tumataas yung palda niya and we can see his white briefs underneath. That was fun. And during the modern dance competition, the crowd favorite was from STI college. Their dance was really entertaining and at the same time, they really danced very good. Especially the thin guy and the tallest guy in the group who really looks funny on the floor. Whew. How I wish I can see something like that in our Intramurals.

This years PSITS overloaded with fun, excitement, and new found crushes. Hahahaha. Though I was really pissed off by my other classmates who didn't even care to attend the event, okei na lang. Sa clearance lang kami magkita. Can't wait for next years PSITS.

Christmas..

The month is already December. There are only few days and its already Christmas. We can hear Christmas songs in the radio in an early morning. We can see Christmas decorations not only in malls, but also in our own houses as well. We can see children roaming houses for caroling, and I have never done that during my early age.

But what really Christmas is all about? Is Christmas all about the decorations? Is it all about the gifts or presents? Is it all about the firecrackers and noisiness? What Christmas is really all about?

I attended a fellowship yesterday. One friend invited me and I decided to join. The speaker preaches about Christmas. Since it is in the air right now. He asked us about what comes from our mind when we hear the word Christmas? Then I answered on my own that Christmas is the birth of Jesus Christ. The other answered about foods, gifts, parties, firecrackers and etc. Then the speaker replied to us by saying that if Christmas is just all about the presents, gifts and parties, would you not be disappointed if you buy a gift that is worth P300 and you received a gift worth P10? Actually, the price is really exaggerate, but my answer would really be a yes.Honestly, I will be disappointed by that. Then he said that Christmas is not about material things, but it is a mission destruction. At first I didn't get the meaning of the phrase. Does that means, the earth will come to an end during Christmas day? A low-level IQ explanation about the meaning of it. Then he stated that it is a mission destruction because it has its own meaning. There are 3 questions for that phrase. The first one, what will be destroyed? The answer would definitely it will destroy the work of evil, and what we called sin. The second question, who would destroy it? Who else? Who comes to the world to save us? Who forgives even though we commit mistakes. No other than, Jesus Christ itself. And the last question, who have the power to feel it? Those people who have faith and believes in the promises of God. So my answer would somehow be an approval of some correctness, but it lacks something. Christmas is the birth of Jesus Christ, to save us from every evil. Remember John 3:16, "For God so love the world that he gave us his only son, Jesus Christ. That those who believes in him, shall not die, but have an everlasting life. Amen."

Sometimes, we tend not to know the true meaning of Christmas because we are blinded by the worldly things around us. We tend to be busy shopping new things, buying gifts, and preparing the food we will eat for that day. And if that are the things that reminded us about Christmas, how about the people lives in the streets and orphanage? And how about when we are in our deep crisis that time, meaning the people behind that can't afford to celebrate Christmas? Isn't it nice to keep in our hearts that Christmas is all around us. God created us alike his only son. So why not show love and respect to everyone. Hugs and kisses can make one cry with glee. And it can also be a gift that no money can buy. Lets just celebrate Christmas on a simple way. The whole family and loved ones together and praise God for giving us his son to save us.

In doing strategies or strategic planning, each individual or part of a company that does the planning is really up into a purpose. And what are those purposes in it. “Planning is everything. Plans are nothing”, that is according to Field Marshal Helmuth Graf von Moltke. For my understanding about the quote, for me it means that we can really plan for anything. We can directly create or have our planning for ourselves. But in the end, after we have decided the planning, in the end, we can’t really have the activities to do the plan. Like for example here in USEP. Every professional professors and teachers here do have their conference and meeting about the strategic planning for the school, but once it was been designed or talked properly, at the end of the discussion and after the technical paper was made, there are still no implementation for it. The words and discussions are being taken for granted. Meaning, the planning was still useless since it was not been implemented properly.

So what are the purposes of strategic planning? For example, in our own self, we do have dreams and visions in life. Before us able to conquer those dreams and visions, we must first start by step by step process on it. We must have first decided on what our goals to achieve the dream. We must first plan. In strategic planning, especially in businesses and industry, the main purpose of it is to set the overall goals for the business and to develop a plan to achieve them. It involves stepping back from the day-to-day operations and asking where the business is headed and what its priorities should be. For global speaking, there are lots of purposes why strategic planning must be done. First, the purpose of strategic planning is to reduce risks. Planning increases the likelihood of project success by providing insights into the project’s risks. Some projects are so risky that the business may choose not to start once they have learned about the risks. Other projects may contain features whose risks can be contained by early attention. The discussions that occur while estimating raise questions that expose potential dark corners of a project. Next, is to reduce uncertainty. Throughout a project, the team is generating new capabilities about what is inside the business or the company. They are also generating new knowledge—about it, the technologies in use, and themselves as a team. It is critical that this new knowledge be acknowledged and factored into an iterative planning process that is designed to help a team refine their vision. Next, is supporting in the decision making. Plans help the business to make decisions. How does an organization decide whether a particular project is worth doing if it does not have estimates of the value and the cost of the project? Beyond decisions about whether or not to start a project, estimates help them make sure that they are working on the most valuable projects possible. Strategic planning also helps in conveying information. A plan conveys expectations and describes one possibility of what may come to pass over the course of a project. A plan does not guarantee an exact set of features on an exact date at a specified cost. A plan does, however, communicate and establish a set of baseline expectations. Far too often a plan is reduced to a single date, and all of the assumptions and expectations that led to that date are forgotten. In relation with planning supports in decision making, it also acquires establishing trusts. Frequent reliable delivery of promised features builds trust between the developers and the customers. Reliable estimates enable reliable delivery. A customer needs estimates to make important prioritization and tradeoff decisions. Estimates also help a customer decide how much of a feature to develop. Customers are reluctant to make these types of tradeoff decisions early in a project unless the developers’ estimates have proved trustworthy. The other purpose of strategic planning is to improve the chances of reaching desirable possible outcomes, to create the future, not to predict it. In this statement, the business can acquire benefits from it. First, the business or industry is prepared for contingencies that could prevent it from attaining its goals. Since planning is on creating future, and not to predict it, there are consequences listed on the strategic plan. The SWOT analysis may be or should be the basis on preparing the strategic plan. Identifying the strength, weaknesses, opportunities and strength for the future basis of the industry or the businesses. Next, is to prepare a framework for the organization’s orderly growth and progress. Since strategic planning is a short term basis, the organization must identify the framework for there success and progression. The framework also identifies the past standing of the organization so that they can mold a good strategic plan for the next years. Lastly, have a strategy for the allocation of resources in a manner that will allow the organization to meet its goals. Planning is not always about budgeting, planning for the future, and always thinking about what should be done. It is also about how and what are the resources to be used for it. Planning may be implemented along with the resources available or resources that might be available. In planning also, the people around the business must identify what are future technological gadgets to be used aligned in meeting its goals. Other inputs, strategic planning identifies where the organization wants to be at some point in the future and how it is going to get there. The "strategic" part of this planning process is the continual attention to current changes in the organization and its external environment, and how this affects the future of the organization. This form of planning includes: Taking a wide look around at what's going on outside the organization and how it might effect the organization (an environmental scan), taking a hard look at what's going on inside the organization, including its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (a SWOT analysis), establishing statements of mission, vision and values, establishing goals to accomplish over the next (usually) three years or so, as a result of what's going on inside and outside the organization, identifying how those goals will be reached (strategies, objectives, responsibilities and timelines) Strategic planning determines the overall direction and goals of the organization. Consequently, strategic planning influences numerous aspects of the organization, including what: Products and services will be provided by the business and how those products and services will be designed, organizational design and roles are needed by the organization, performance goals are established for positions throughout the business, board committees should be developed (in the case of corporations), resources are needed to reach those goals, and consequently, how much money is needed to procure those resources -- ultimately, the goals determine the content of various budgets.

There are also challenges in Information Strategic Planning. Here are some as I found in the net that tells the challenges in strategic planning in developing countries. First is data. Finding data is a real challenge because there is available statistics is far below those available in developing countries. Most companies try to keep any financial information and consider them secrets. It is not possible to know the demand in last year of a certain product or service. People are not used to market research and they don’t want to talk to the marketing people. Next are employees. Most employees and managers are not aware about the value of strategic planning and they may consider it waste of time and something that is applicable in developed countries. Followed by owner. Many owners of successful companies believe they don’t need to do strategic planning and they do not know that their success will go one day when there are more competitors or there are changes in the market. Then the manager’s selection. Most company’s managers in developing countries are experts in the technical process of the organization but they are not well educated in management and thus they want to focus on what they know and neglect what they do not know. Accordingly, strategic management does not fall in their area of interest. Then the qualitative analysis. Strategic planning needs a lot of forecasting and qualitative analysis besides the quantitative analysis. Many technical managers are used to neither the qualitative analysis nor the forecasting. The phrase “I am the manager”. The strategy shows a guide for decisions, so, an employee may, sometimes, tell the senior manager that his decision is against the company strategy. Thus the manager avoid having a strategy to keep his freedom to decide whatever he likes. “Analysis” versus “Intuition”. Most people do not think that a manager should do analysis or have done for him they think that some people are talented to take the right decision without doing many calculations or having subordinates make a study for them. The common challenge is the Implementation. To get every manager follow the same strategy is not an easy task. The Investors. Having a clear strategic plan and clear goals for the future (other than increasing sales of the current products) does not affect the stock price because most of the investors do not care about those issues. And lastly, the security. Most managers feel that everything is a secret and obviously they think that no one else should know the strategy and thus no one else should make a study for our strategic plan….and there is no strategy. Maintaining the strategic plan is also a challenge in any sectors of any businesses. Strategic planning, the what and the why of planning, is often overlooked by organizations who concentrate on tactical planning, the how of planning. The resultant business plan is overwhelmed by tactical initiatives and pet projects. Alignment with a strategy to attain the organization’s goals is achieved by accident. Strategic planning is often seen as unnecessary or at times, not even contemplated in an environment benign to the organization, e.g. high levels of market growth or monopoly situations. In my experience, a strategic plan based on basic critical thinking is a precursor to developing a competitive advantage where often none has previously been seen. Flexibility is also a challenge of a business. Not all businesses do have a strategic plan. Like small scale businesses. And mostly strategic plan is a short term planning only. That is because of changing environment. Since we all know that strategic plan can’t be implemented because there is a change, so it’s a challenge to an IT professional who does the research to make his/her research or plan to be useful. The other challenge is the uncertainty. Strategic planning helps a business evaluate market opportunities. To do this effectively, the process includes collecting and analyzing information about the business environment, understanding internal strengths, and developing a set of 'key assumptions'. Optimal strategies are designed based on all of these factors. As the environment changes, so should our plans. One way to assess whether it is time to conduct a new strategic planning process is to check your list of 'key assumptions' on an annual basis to see if anything has changed. The other one is the cost. Big industries and businesses don’t have the problem of cost in regards of improvement in their business. But in small scale business, cost is a great factor. With all the activities that make up running a business, setting priorities in the context of a plan is important. Without a plan, the limited resources of a growing business will tend to be scattered in many directions, netting results that take longer and cost more. The other challenge also is the organization dynamics. An effective planning process will help to get people talking, and ensure that the business owner/CEO benefits from the ideas of his/her team. A good process is designed to build confidence, support and commitment among all involved. Even if only a limited group is included in the process, the completion of a strategic plan provides a great opportunity to communicate the company's direction and core values to employees. The use of an outside facilitator can greatly enhance the effectiveness of a planning process and keep the process on track. There is often a strong tendency of those participating to focus the discussions on today's problems. An outside facilitator can help to broaden thinking and make sure that new ideas and directions are generated.

In our own self as well, we do have a strategic planning that was been planned accordingly. Now, it is our choice on how to implement it, how to maintain it and how to make it flexible in change without putting us into much cost.

What should be the nature of the relationship between the business plan and IS plan? 1000 words

Last time during the reporting of the previous reporters, one of them discussed about the problem regarding information systems strategic planning, one of which is that the business plan must be aligned with the strategic plan. So what is a business plan? There are lots of explanations of what is a business plan means. One of those meaning is that a business plan is a written document that details a proposed or existing venture. It will typically explain the vision, current status, expected needs. From the website wikipedia.com, a business plan is a formal statement of a set of business goals, the reasons why they are believed attainable, and the plan for reaching those goals. It may also contain background information about the organization or team attempting to reach those goals. The business goals being attempted may be for-profit or non-profit. For-profit business plans typically focus on financial goals. Non-profit and government agency business plans tend to focus on service goals, although non-profits may also focus on maximizing profit. Business plans may also target changes in perception and branding by the customer, client, tax-payer, or larger community. A business plan having changes in perception and branding as its primary goals is called a marketing plan. Business plans may be internally or externally focused. Externally focused plans target goals that are important to external stakeholders, particularly financial stakeholders. They typically have detailed information about the organization or team attempting to reach the goals. With for-profit entities, external stakeholders include investors and customers. External stake-holders of non-profits include donors and the clients of the non-profit's services. For government agencies, external stakeholders include tax-payers, higher-level government agencies, and international lending bodies such as the IMF, the World Bank, various economic agencies of the UN, and development banks. Internally focused business plans target intermediate goals required to reach the external goals. They may cover the development of a new product, a new service, a new IT system, a restructuring of finance, the refurbishing of a factory or a restructuring of the organization. An internal business plan is often developed in conjunction with a balanced scorecard or a list of critical success factors. This allows success of the plan to be measured using non-financial measures. Business plans that identify and target internal goals, but provide only general guidance on how they will be met are called strategic plans. Operational plans describe the goals of an internal organization, working group or department. Project plans, sometimes known as project frameworks, describe the goals of a particular project. They may also address the project's place within the organization's larger strategic goals. During our Management Information Systems 1, we have gone doing business plan on a certain company. The information and other facts of that business plan was been discussed accordingly to the in-charge of the said company. Of course, according to our instructor, we may lift up the company or put it down according to what we have decided to do. As what I have stated above, strategic planning must have the SWOT analysis. In to our preparation and to our research about the company, we have then listed some of the weaknesses and strength of the company. In such way we can decide how to build up a company. Actually, we haven’t give our Information Systems Strategic Plan to the company we have chosen. Not because we might cause those troubles, we are sure that the strategic plan we done are according also to their progress.

From the relative discussion of the difference of the two and the similarity and how helpful one to other, we can now define the relationship of the two. As what Hannah has said to her article, strategic planning is part of the business planning. Strategic planning have three question with connections to the business planning. First is what must be done. Next is from whom can we do it. Followed by the question, how can a business excel. From the third question, it can be defined more likely in a question, "How can we beat or avoid competition?". A business plan also acquire those questions from their first approach to the industrial world. So it simply means that the strategic plan is an alignment of the business plan in which it may be a problem on doing strategic plan of a company as well. Strategic planning requires more understanding because this may result on bringing a company down. But more likely, a strategic planning can be a result from a business plan. So the relationship of the two? Business plan is much with the connection of a strategic plan since they are the helpful tool for the improvement of a business.

In doing a strategic plan, it is not really known to everyone that there are frustrations that may trigger. Frustrations in a way that it may cause depression and stress to the professionals and users that are doing it. In doing an Information Strategic plan, it is really a must that the user and the professionals doing it must first determine the company’s background and other facts and information that can help and then again be a useful tool for the planning.

Computing systems this era raises high in a short period of time. Though our country is a 5 year behind than those countries abroad, still using internet is a common tool for someone like in communications. And more likely in a business, it is also a trend of using internet and intranet in their operations since it can help progress their company. Now a day, an even small scale business also acquires using internet and computers for their daily routine. That is because it can help them improve their skills and at the same time it can lessen the work load since using computers doesn’t requires much time. Relatively, why I’m discussing those computer trend marketing in such a way, since that industry now a days is a computer based industry, lot of professionals and users must be aware of using computer in such a way that it is one of the basic tools for doing the planning.

As what I have stated in the first question of this slide, during our Management Information Systems 1, we did a strategic planning in one of the pronounce company in the city today. Not only here in Davao is this company well known, also to the other sites of the city. During our discussions with the group, we have decided to have each an individual task. From that then, we can focus on our topic. But that was one of the problems we have encountered. Misunderstanding. That is one of the frustrations we have. We didn’t know what to do and on the other side we don’t know the topics of our other group. At the end of the compilation, the report of one is not related to the report of the other one, and in vice versa. We then realize our mistake after we have compiled the technical paper. So how can we let ourselves give the technical paper to the company we have if there and else we don’t understand what we did, how much more to them. If such case, we are then called to be the professionals who done lousy approach to the planning for the company we are required to have the plan. Then the user also, such a way that there were the people involved in that strategic plan, are then also approach us lousy for the mistake of some persons. Like what I said above, strategic plan must be reliable so that the company must excel in accordance to era.

Another frustration that may trigger in the planning of this IS plan is the time. Time problem is not only for this kind of situation. Even in our other subjects, we do have difficulty in time management. Stress may occur if we hear the word “deadline”. That can cause cramming that can cause also mistakes. Time management may not be a frustration if and when it was been managed accordingly. But also time management requires more budget than of any other. Since this planning is suitable and a provider for the company, there is also a satisfaction that it can really cost big. Like our technical paper before. By committing mistakes, another big cost is at stake.

That frustrations I have stated is only my point of view. Since I have encountered strategic planning before, I have then encountered such frustration things like that. And that frustration I have encountered might then encountered by those professionals.

The greatest dream I want to achieve is to become an IT professional, someday. And I believe that it’s not only me dreaming of becoming one. But then, seeing me of that dream to come true is really a great achievement. More likely, a big satisfaction to myself.

During my pre-school years, as stated in one of my article in my blog, my ambition in life is becoming a nurse. I really don’t know what comes out from my mind that time. Since I’m still six years old that time, idolizing nurses and doctors are really in demand. I’m fond of watching eat bulaga, a noon time show in GMA-5. One of their segments is the “Little Miss Philippines”. And as the cute little girls would answer the question what would you like to be when you grow up? Mostly would answer of becoming a nurse or a doctor someday. Why? It is because they want to help little kids who are poor and can’t afford to go to the doctor for their check-up when they are sick. Isn’t it touching to hear it from a six year old cute little girl? Well, that maybe was my reason why did I want to become a nurse. Then years after, my ambition became a teacher. My grade 1 teacher taught us very well. In reading comprehensively and writing neatly and correctly. She taught us to spell, to count, to make friends with others, and most of all, to discipline ourselves. Every noon, all of us, me and my teacher, go to sleep together. Then in the afternoon, we play together. I really learned a lot from her. And idolizing her makes up my mind of becoming someone like her in the future. Since then, I learned to love teaching too. I’m fond of teaching my nephews and nieces who are younger than me, mostly, Mathematics and Spelling. Well, during those years, I do have higher grades in math. That was my forte. I don’t know what happened now. My dream of becoming a nurse lives through till my high school years. Though, comparing my grade school teachers and my high school teachers, I’ll prefer the grade school ones. But still, I do have a favorite teacher in high school. She was our 4th year physics teacher. She really does love teaching. And like our professor quoted to us last Monday, she lives to teach. We treated her as our adviser though she was not. It is because, she was the one giving us enthusiasm in teaching and encouraging us to graduate at the end of the year with honors. Unlike our adviser who always feels us down and useless. But unfortunately, she died due to her asthma month before our graduation. She did not witness us receiving our diplomas on which we really do think she will be proud of.

What happened? Why I ended up of becoming an IT student? So easy. Joke. During my 4th year in high school, the technology trend is really in demand. Meaning, becoming one of the future technologist is not one of my ambition. I did not even dream of becoming a scientist, technologist pa? But, studying in USeP is one of my dream on which it did came true. So hearing news and intrigues all around our place, I did try to be one of that lucky enrollee to be enrolled in this course. That was fortunately. When I was still freshmen student, those higher years are always threatening us. They always are telling us that we really do pick a wrong choice. Maybe yes. But now, it’s a big no! Dealing with this course is really a challenge for me. Especially during those years who I thought that quitting is the best way. But for me, quitting makes me a loser. And I don’t want to be called a loser on the path I chose. So what now? 4 years in IC and in USEP was a destiny. Maybe, I was destined to be here. Destined of suffering such sufferings. Joke. Now, as a third year, regular IT student, char, I’m decided to go my way. Pursue this tragic course, at first, is one of the greatest achievement a can have. Since, I suffered a lot from this course, what more can me happy? Of course, to see my parents happy as well. At last, their only daughter would graduate. And can pursue the dreams they want to have after being disappointed on my 2 elder brothers who got married at an early age.

So what’s next? After graduation, work. And what work that can be? Since this is still a dream, and there’s no bad thing about that, why not dream big. And that would be seeing me as an IT professional, who works in a prestigious company. The name would not matter as long as it is well known company. Maybe google or Microsoft. That would do. Hahahahaha. Dream big. Isn’t it? 10 years from now, maybe. And how do I see myself 10 years from now? Since my dream is to become an IT professional, maybe I’m working in my dream company. Since I defined myself worthy of it. Maybe, I have eyeglasses, working on a company with working fee enough or big enough for me and my family. Maybe at this moment, I’m doing my other sidelines, doing programs and research for big companies too. Or maybe, I’m at my house, doing those jobs I haven’t finished in work. Or maybe, I’m at overtime right now doing researches, design, presentation for the report the next day, or doing paper works. In other words, I’ll be working the whole through out. And what are my strategies on achieving those big plans on mine? First, I will strive even more on my studies. In my observation about myself for the past years, I really like planning and dreaming big. Actually, that’s not bad, isn’t it? The only bad thing about that is that I’m not doing anything. Like in my programming subjects, I always admire my regular classmate and my other classmates since they are good in programming. And I keep on telling them that programming is hard. Hard, hard, hard, and nothing to do because it’s hard. And I keep on depending on the teacher’s points of view and hand-outs. That’s what I observed to myself, until now. Then I told myself that they are good because they keep on practicing. I always keep depending on our laboratory class, not even practice it before the lab. Or even after lecture class for that case I will know how the programs run that way. And every time we do have machine problems, more likely, I practice and do it on my own, but if I can’t finished it on my first time, what pops out from my mind is that my other classmates already finished it. I’ll just copy it and change the variable names. Even in written quiz. If I’m not on the mood to study, I just tell myself that I’ll just sit beside to those who study the topic. Just finding it out that I’m not learning. Though, at first I am, but at the end, I’ll end up not even remembering what our lesson before. Like last semester, in our database 3. Though I did something, honestly, I still don’t know the other codes for it. Since that time, I promised to myself that I will study hard, even harder, as long as when my brain can function and how long as it can takes. Then I’ll practice more. I will not depend only on my teacher’s points of view. What I also observed is that I can stay longer in internet doing nothing rather than practicing what I have learned during the lesson. Other thing is that I will have time management. Every year, every semester, I always pass assignments on time. But then, before that, there was no enough sleep then cramming takes place. We always are doing that in our programming subjects. We always are doing that every last minute. And finding ourselves haggard the next day. Though, some of those programming subjects really need to be “puyatan” in tagalog. Then, as what I mentioned above, self reliance. We can’t always trust anybody, or somebody. We can always trust ourselves. And I believe in the saying, let man do his job, and God will do the rest. So if I just trust myself, do my best out of everything and in God’s will, I know I can survive anything. Then, do have confident. I do have self esteem at many times, but when pressure and fear comes my way, I’m becoming a negative thinker. I do have fighting spirit as well, but as what I said, fear really does over takes. Next, have focus. I always have hard time on self focus. Since there are lots of other things that enters our mind. That’s one of my main objective in life right now, “first things first!”.

At what I have written her, one thing is for sure, I’ll better change myself. Change for the best or worst. It depends on if I followed what I have written and planned or I just taken it for granted. I remember the homily of our professor last Monday, we planned to fail. Hope not. It’s just a threat to us that if we just keep on planning and not doing those we planned, maybe our professor was right, we just planned to fail. And remembering what he told us that it is not only me who failed, it is also our parents. And I really don’t want to fail my parents. After failing from my elder brothers, I don’t want to fail them for the last hope they have. Though I know that it would not happen just happen that easily, but at least, I didn’t failed them. And I will keep my promise of not failing them.

Dreaming big is like reaching for a distant star. But who knows, nothing is impossible in this world. Even Apollo 11 reaches the moon, who knows, I can also reach that distant star. Not only for me, but also for my family.

Hmmmmmm.. Lots of my friends know about all the guys I loved. Charmus.. Well actualy, they also know about a guy who I fell inlove with even if we only lasted for 10 days?? Hmmmm.. Yah.. I know that you will tell me that I'm a not so born stupid or what. Well, that's me. Simply an emotional girl who tends to love easily and will cry for a guy until someone replaces that guy. Joke. Ewan ko. This is the second guy who I cried for months. And to think, 10 days lang kami. Well, ganyan talaga ang life. Hmmm. The first guy I cried like this was my first love. And he died last year. From that day I never believed in first love never dies. Joke again. Well, what made up my mind writing some corny stuffs here bout that guy?? Hmmmmm. Let me think. Its just I saw his picture from the net. Toinks. Picture lang yan ha.. Actually, we have seen each other about 6 months after we broke up. We broke up March 18 of this year. That was the birthday of one of my closest friend. Were in the church at Obrero that time. We are about to witnessed the presentation of our friends also. Hmmmm. I went back to the church disappointed and without any sounds, I cried. I want to cry everything inside me that time. Char. But really, ang sakit ng heart ko that time. And untiol now feel ko pa talaga. Toinks. Hahahaha. Just joking because really, my tears. Lalabas na talaga luha ko. To think na talagang picture lang yun ha. Nakita ko na. I remember following the statement I have stated above. That was October. We were doing our final project in one of our subjects. Then I decided that I must go home. I went home at 1 am. Then my fellow friends offered na ihatid ako sa may kanto. Then unexpectedly, he was there. With his friends as well. Hmmm. My heart really pumps hard. And feel ko talaga na lalabas na puso ko. Walang biro. Joke. Aw. Then, as I went home, I keep thinking for his face. It changed really. Though unexpected ang pagkikita naming yun, ewan. Parang ang tagal ng oras na andun xa, waiting for a ride home. Wish ko nga that time na hindi na lang siya umuwi. And I really wished that time na mag-usap kami. But that never happened. During the time ng papauwi nako. With a friend na inihatid ako sa bahay, hindi ko napigilan ang umiyak. And that cry was really painful. I guess. Shock talaga friend ko that time. Char. After that, I told myself na baka yun na ang last. Pero bakit until now?? Hahai.. Miss him guro. And I admit to myself na until now I'm still inlove with him. Though, tagal na nun, pero wala pa ring pumapalit. Char uie.

I didn't come to school today. Since we only had one class this afternoon and it will only take 1 hour for it, and I'm not sure if our professor would really meet us. So I decided that I will not go to school and just work with my assignments for tomorrow. But unfortunately, I was been distracted by my colds. I was sneezing all time. And it was kinda of boring day today that's why I dont like surfing the net as well.

By the way, I would like to tell you about my dream last night. Since I didn't come to school, I haven't had time to talk to my friends about the scary dream I had. Yesterday, there was one news about a showbiz personality who died because of "bangungot". Then in my dream, it wasn't me who died. It was my friend. I saw her lying on the coffin. And everyone was crying except me. Then I found out that I was wearing red that night. According to my mom, if you will wear any red dress in a "lamay", it means that you are happy since that someone died. But in reality, if that someone will die, I will definitely cry. Since that someone was been part of my life and she became a bestfriend to me even for a short period of time. And I really dont want to lose her. Who is she?? Well, nevermind. It was just a dream either. And according to old sayings, until now, many of us believe in this that dreams are opposite to reality. And I hope that dream would only be a dream.

A very touching quote given to us by our Professor from his mother who is a teacher. Really didn't know if until now she is. Discussing some facts about the dinosaur’s attitudes of some teachers, he told us that his "paninindigan" in teaching is different. I then admired Sir more. (Sir, wala jud ko nanagtik!). But the verse was not the only thing he preached on us. He also tells us about our planning in the years ahead. Dealing with our future is a basis now. Its not really about strategic planning since it is only a short term goal. We also must deal with our long term goal. During his discussions about vision, I then realized that I do have vision in life. De nga lang kalakihan. Dreaming is believing, sabi nga ng iba. I dream big, I believe big of that dream to come true. Though too much expectation can cause pain. Pero what's the use of the goals diba? Achieving one's dream is by doing his goal or process. Step by step process will do. Yun nga sabi ko sa article ko about my dream diba? Pero sabi nga ni Sir, planning is great deal. What I fear most is when he said that "we plan to fail". Kakatakot diba? Ayoko naman ding i-down parents ko. Ofcourse, kaya nga ako nag-aaral ng todo(char), but honestly, I do study hard because of my dream also to help my family. I won’t plan to fail, instead I will plan to succeed. And I will do everything for it.

Back to the main title. Marami nga naman din akong nakilalang mga teacher’s who teaches to live. Though, some of them believe that it will help them. But to those teachers who believe that teaching is being admired not only a profession is really an admirable one. Mahirap na din kayang makakita ng teachers who loved their profession because they were born to admire it. Many do become, but few are the chosen one. So for Sir's mother, ma'am I really do admire you.

And for my future, our future, planning must takes place. And never plan to fail, plan to succeed!

Problems do really occurs. In strategic planning, as the sharer introduced this morning, he tackles about the that the strategic planning must be aligned with the organizational plan. But there was one question appeared after the sharing. What if the organizational plan was not been prepared? Or the organization plan failed? That would happen at any moment. Next is designing the plan. During our MIS1, it was really difficult to design a plan without knowledge or something information about the plan. This problems really might occur on any organizations. More likely, strategic plan must be on time, well budgeted and time prepared.

For some likely, strategy is definitely a great deal for the improvement of the organization.

As what I have heard about the sharing just this morning, I have found out that the ISSP started in military during wars. Strategic plan was first introduced to have competitiveness in other military camp. In the midst of 1960's, the era of data processing was introduced. But during that time, standalone computers are the only one can satisfy the era. In the midst of 1970's and 80's management of information systems was introduced. Since information systems is the the combination of hardware, software, and peopleware, the characteristics of this era was then networked. Then during 1990's, the strategic plan was then introduced. Networking uprise during this time.

Strategic planning was first be planned. Strategic planning must be reliable. It must be used to help cater the needs of the business and industry today.

When I first got into school, that was 14 years ago., my teacher asked me about what do I want to be when I grow up. I don't know what I answered that time but when I scanned my preschool yearbook, I found out that my first dream is to become a nurse someday. But right now, becoming a nurse is not one of my options. I hate blood! In my elementary years, I remembered of becoming a teacher. I like teaching. That is my fortes. I remembered before that I was teaching my grade 1 nephews and nieces when I was still in grade 5. But during my high school time, I changed my mind again.

Studying in USEP is not actually an option, it was already been planned. My mother told me that if I will go to college, USEP would fit in. But ending up as an IT student is big question to me. That was actually during my 1^st and 2^nd year in college. From teaching students their lesson turned out of becoming a programmer, someday. Actually, programming is not my cup of tea, but as time goes by, still its not my cup of tea. Joke. Andito na lang man din ako, why not trying to embrace the course I'm in.

For the past years in USEP and in IC, my future looks dim, but, theres but, now I can see some thin light on some point of the end of the road. Naks. Looking at my self 5 years from now is really a big challenge to me. But that would definitely ending up my vision in Life. And what is it? To become an IT professional, and to become one of the pride of my school. I know that vision is like reaching for the distant star. And whats the use of my goals? I can reach it by step by step process. Being an IT student, for now, I will do my very best to achieve my vision by studying harder, practice programming more, managing time accordingly, having enough rest for the next day's challenge, make sure that there will be less cramming moments, not to depend on someone(if others can do, why can't I), not to depend on teachers lectures only, and most specially, have faith with God's blessings and mercy. I believe that reaching my dream is not that hard to do. According nga sa kasabihan na “nasa tao ang gawa, nasa Diyos ang awa!”. For now, my vision would definitely to graduate this course not more that 5 years. Hope so!

At first, I thought that we are supposed to identify a information environment team for this assignment. But after asking Sir about the assignment, it made me realize that it was just all about the information systems of a given institution. But actually, reminding about that topic makes takes me long enough to understand.

So remembering the lessons we had in MIS, specifically about IS. Information Systems sometimes refers to a systems of person, data records and activities that process the data and information in an organization, and it includes the organization's manual and automated processes. About MIS, it's merely managing a systems of people. But more likely, it is not natural to manage people, but it is more nice to hear about leadership. The difference between the two is managing, means controlling, handling and directing. If people are being manage, it means that the manager is only controlling them and it's up to the people below level to do the task. Unlike, leadership. It only means that he or she is just the leader for the task being thrown to the group. For this topic, it is better to lead than to manage because we are talking about an information environment which deals to the surrounding.

Information environment might be a company or organization. Now a days, big companies such as DLPC or the Davao Light and Power Corporation involves with information systems. Thus it is a big help for their daily routine which brings the company in great ease. In that case, DLPC or the Davao Light and Power Corporation is one of the member of the information environment. Information as a concept has a diversity of meanings, from everyday usage to technical settings. Generally speaking, the concept of information is closely related to notions of constraint, communication, control data, form, instruction, knowledge, meaning, mental stimulus, pattern, perception, and representation. Information is also an any type of pattern that influences the formation or transformation of other patterns. Environment means about a surroundings. It may either be a group of people surrounding you, or a surroundings of a thing. Or in other words, information environment is a surrounding of communication, control data, form, instruction, knowledge, meaning, patterns around a specified company which influences the transformation of the said company. And an information environment simply means that it is an environment for which the people inside the environment can interact with the environment outside their environment.

If I were to choose an Information Environment, I'd rather choose my adopted company in this subject Management Information Systems or MIS. And as I mentioned above, it is the Davao Light and Power Company. Davao Light and Power Company is the third largest privately-owned electric utility in the Philippines. It holds the franchise for distributing electric power to Davao City, the largest city in the world in terms of land area, as well as Panabo City and the municipalities of Carmen, Dujali, and Sto. Tomas in Davao del Norte. Davao Light & Power Company, Inc. (DLPC) was incorporated in 1929 by P.H. Frank, Relatives and Associates. Negotiations for the purchase of DLPC by the Aboitiz Group was seriously undertaken in late 1941 but was subsequently aborted due to the outbreak of World War II. Early in the 1950s, much of Davao City’s economy relied on agriculture and the only major use of electricity was for lighting up houses at night. Hence, DLPC pursued an aggressive marketing and production strategy by opening a Davao agency for Aboitiz & Company whose sole purpose was to sell various electrical equipment in order to introduce electrical usage to the populace. Results were an increase in peak capacity from 1,500 kW in 1952 to 26,500 kW in 1970. Execution of improved methods of production such as the acquisition of bigger engines and heavy fuel translated into savings for its 10,000 plus consumers. In 1963, it was the first utility in the Philippines to use Bunker Fuel on Diesel Engines. So as said by their profile and history, now, this company serves as the big institution that distributes electric power in our own houses. So as big company as the DLPC, it is more profound that it is an Information environment company.

Davao Light and Power Company Incorporated has its own Information Systems Department on which it is divided into 4 departments. The BSD or the Business Solutions Department, the NID or the Network and Infrastructure Department, the DMD or the Database Management Department, and the EID or the Engineering Information Department. They also included the 911 systems on which the Davao Light and Power Company Incorporated handles, the GIS or the Geographical Information Systems. So if I were given a chance to be a part of this information environment, I would rather be on the Business Solution Department or the BSD. For that in case I will perform much appropriate jobs and works for the company. Business Solutions Department or the BSD provides solutions to the problems that are being given by the clients. They provide the sufficient solution to that said problem in order for the client to be satisfied. So able to provide help for the department or the company, my role for this environment is to become a researcher and a programmer as well. Business Solutions Department or the BSD members are mostly programmers and researchers as well. But they are only limited on searching to the problems stated, meaning if I were be able to become the researcher of the department, I'd rather be an outfield researcher. Outfield researcher takes the place of like an survey people. They interacts with the surrounding and get some information on behalf of the problems they have encountered. More likely, it is easier for the department to solve the problems. Relatively, BSD does not only provides solutions for their client but also for the company as well. But for me, members of the said department can handle the problem within the company. Since they are really interacting the problems inside. Me, I want to handle the problems of the client in order for the said company to be more reliable.

The principle of Information Organization and its representation includes the communities, user orientation, and standardization and networking devices. In the communities, there are also principles that must be cater. First is the knowledge needs to be organized for communities. It simply means that
the one who is involved in the organization must first cater the needs of the community. So in my role, the first principle deals with what I want to contribute to the company. That it the people or the client of the organization must be taken of first. Next principle about the community is in designing tools to support the organization of knowledge, guiding principle must be that of user orientation and predominant usage. So meaning that the organization must first create a user friendly environment for their clients. They must create tools or design appropriate things in order for the organization's knowledge may be supported accordingly. And last standard is that the standardization and networking provide infrastructures, which facilitate effective and efficient access to information and documents that can be a help for the client as well. So the next principle in information organization is the user- orientation. In user-orientation, it is somewhat training for the user, either a part of the organization or the client of the organization. Meaning, being a researcher as my role for the organization, I'm required to be oriented properly so that if it is my turn to interact with people, I can orient them in the way that I was being oriented or more likely I can orient them more in the way I was oriented. For that the people I'm interacting with can understand the what will I'm about to do. And the last principle of the information organization is the standardization and networking. It simply means that the organization must be standardize in order for the organization to work properly. In terms of networking, it must be done regularly to solve the issues that being thrown by the clients. In more prominent words, these principles is a great help for me as a researcher as my role to the company. I must first think about what would it the client's reaction and formulate a solution for the clients problem. Then, the user must be properly accommodated so that there are no unlike words for your performance. And lastly, the organization must be working hand-in-hand for the solution. In other words, being part of the organization, its my obligation to work handily with the people around me so that I can perform a better performance for the organization and to satisfy the client's needs.

To perform my role in this information environment, it is not impossible for me to encounter problems and trials. I may face some challenges for it. Challenge is an invitation to engage in a fight or a duel. More likely, I may be into a fight for this role I'm in. In facing problems or challenges does makes the person stronger and makes the person aims to win the fight. Being an outside researcher, one challenge that I will face is how to interact with the people I'm in. It's kinda scary for me to ask questions or even to mingle with those people who throws situations for the organization. It is also a challenge for me to let them listen to what will be the probable answers to the problem. One thing also, as a researcher, it is also a challenge for me to answers the problems. More likely, its a mind game for that case. Joke. So its a mind trick challenge also on how to solve and address the problems. For the first challenge I will face, one thing to solve the problem is to let the public know my purpose for asking some questions with them. One attitude that I must possessed is patience. It is proper for a person who asks questions to be patient because not everyone you are talking is as approachable as the one you talked first. The person who is doing the job is prefer not to answer back the person he or she is about to asked. So for the another challenge or extra challenge, I may able to talk to their leader or higher positioned official for me to be listened. In that case, it is not a problem for me anymore because for sure the crowd will listen to their official or officials. So in that case, I will be able to explain to them and orient them for my purpose of coming to their barrio or barangay. One appropriate words for them to give is that I wont give promises that I know I'm not sure of becoming true. So it is just possible for me to just say the facts for them to know. So for the final challenge, it is possible for me to just focus on the topic I'm in. That I will use not only one reference and talk not only to those involve but also to those who are satisfied with some good actions to that problems.

Within this information environment I'm in, its more likely appropriate to not only think for the organization's progress. Cause the organization is in progress if the consumer or the clients are satisfied by the work. And the information systems environment as well is not being surrounded by the information systems only, but also it is being surrounded by people to do the works with the help of the information systems.

Me and my group interviewed our adopted HR manager in our adopted company. He discussed about the nature of human resource management. He said that the human resource management is concerned with all the all the decisions, strategies, factors, principles, operations, practices, functions, activities and methods related to the management of people as employees in any type of organization, all the dimensions related to people in their employment relationships, and all the dynamics that flow from it , all aimed at adding value to the delivery of goods and services, as well as to the quality of work life for employees, and hence helping to ensure continuous organizational success in transformative environments. He also discussed about the scope and role of human resource management. He said that the scope of human resource management include the transformation and development issues, tentative generic skills required in performing HRM roles, as well as the roe of human resource management practitioner. He also tackled about the transformation and development issues. The issues behind it are the ff:

-Knowledge management which entails accumulating & capturing
-Knowledge in large organisations for future application & use (organisation memory)
-Reconciliation management
-Work creation as opposed to job creation
-Manage the transfer of HRM functions and skills to line management
-Marketing of HRM to line management
-Development of contextual approaches to HRM
-Multi-skilling and /or multi-tasking

First is PLANNING AND ORGANISING FOR WORK, PEOPLE AND HRM with sub-work of Strategic perspective, Organisation design, Change management, Corporate Wellness management. Next is the PEOPLE ACQUISITION AND DEVELOPMENT. This includes Staffing the organization, Training & development, Career Management, Performance Management, and Industrial relations. Followed by ADMINISTRATION OF POLICIES , PROGRAMMES & PRACTICES which includes Compensation management, Information management, Administrative management, and Financial management

As what I observed in what he is doing, I can say that everything he said is true and I agree with it. During our visit before, we encountered observing him doing some interviews and making questionnaire for the examination for the applicants. Being an HR manager, he/she must be affective for managing human resource. He/she is obliged to do his work properly for human resource or the people inside his company. And according to him also, he haven't gone any problems with the management of the organization since they were able to build the same principles about HRM.

...InsOurce or OutsOurcE??...

To make life more easier, universities all over uses systems for the high quality performance, effectiveness, less effort and time affordable for doing their jobs. Relatively, they do have their freedom to choose between insourcing or outsourcing. So whats the difference between the two. From the word "in", insourcing means the systems or application they're using all throughout the university is done inside the campus, or the person involved in it is part of the university he/she is working. Outsourcing on the other hand is contradict to the mentioned above. Outsourcing means that the systems is made outside by the different person. Or the resources is outside.

If I will be given the chance to advice or to take some comments on which of the two I prefer for the university to use, I will pick insourcing. There are lots of advantage if the system is made by the people inside the university he/she is working. But more likely, there are still advantages when outsourcing takes place. So the reasons why I rather choose insourcing than outsourcing? First, for me its more less costly than outsource. Looking for other resources for doing the systems inside the university can expense more than giving the idea to the programmers inside. Next, its less hustle. When the university wants to have outsourcing, they will look for the person/people to do the systems. It's a time consuming and more expensive routine. Rather than searching for an unknown well-being programmers, why not talked to the best programmers inside the university. Next, the system can be easily developed. Since the programmers is located inside, it is easily for that programmer to look for a new resource for the systems he/she made. He/she can observed what the university's needs. And other factors, he/she can suggest new things for the best of the systems he/she made. Important advantage is the security. The university's pride and other confidential issues are at risk if the university chooses outsource. If the university deals insource, the loyalty is a basis. Big universities and well-known universities must not take that risk. Maybe, just maybe, freak programmers might hacked the university's systems and drown all the data. But it was just a wide imagination. Finally, the university is giving chances to the programmers inside their institution and at the same time they're giving the programmers the chance to improved themselves.

Like what Karren said, outsourcing takes place to those big companies for the improvement of their institution. But in our case, we do have the best programmers in town. And why take the risks, why look for other of we already have the best.

...whAt a CompAny visit...

Just this afternoon, an unexpected event happened to us(me, Kate, Hannah, Regina, Melgar, and Jalil). Our purpose at Land Co. is to visit the adopted companies of Jalil & Company for their MIS(LDS Company) and HRM(CallBox). While waiting for about 30 minutes or more for the elevator, CALLBOX HR Manager just came out suddenly inviting us to apply at their company. We did our best to say "no", but she keeps on pushing us to enter the room. And for the subject HRM, we had no choice but to agree. We just fill up some of the questions in the questionnaire. All about our background, profile, and about some technical supports. After that, what's next? Maybe an interview portion. Hahahaha. Everybody on that company really speaks English very, very well. Compare to us(nosebleed!), especially ma'am Glotchie and ma'am Andy. We really though that it was the end of our career.(melon).

That experience was really fun. Actually, I tried seeking for a job, gone an interview, and got hired. But this scenario was really a big different. During those interview, I never tried to speak English that much, but this time, I really had a nosebleed. And their accent was really awesome, unlike ours. Again, we really thought that it was the end, just still lucky, they didn't forced us to continue. We left the office smiling with cotton inside our nose.(Exaggerate!)

Just a while ago, I saw an old friend telling me something that I never wanted to hear. Actually, I did expect that something like this would happened. I told myself to prepare and at the same time realizing that theres no pain that I will feel. But something weird feeling I felt. I was hurt. God knows how much pain I felt. But a simple question just appeared to my mind, "Bakit ako nasaktan?". Naging emo na ako for this guy before, why did he returned in unexpected time. I still don't know how to let him go. I still don't know how to forget everything in him. I still do love him.

Knowing that he loves someone else breaks my heart and tore it apart(melon). But really, I want to cry but I think that theres no still reason for me to cry. He's just a guy. A guy who leaves me without me knowing why.

How can I stop the pain from flowing? How can I let go of this feeling?

I really dont know if I can call it as a festival or an org. day. Actually, I really expect that something like what happend 2days ago and yesterday would really happen. It's some sort of boring and some sort of unprepared org day, awts,. festival pala.(Sorry sa mga organizers ng show, thats what I really observed)

Last friday, the 2008 ICEAN Festival started with a blast(joke). As expected, para lang kaming nag-P.E..What I really loved that day is when I won the HEP2x-HORRAY game. That was the first special game that day. And ako pa talaga ang nanalo..

Hindi ko talaga alam kung what happened that 2days of agony. Joke. May mga events naman din na enjoy. Such as the jingle making contest. We won first place that time. Next, ang mga sports. I love the volleyball game between the Blue Oracle and the Black Firebird. Nice siya kasi super exciting ng game. And I was the coach, ofcourse. Lagi ko na lang pinapagalitan si Jaymar. I was just trying to help, and volleyball is my game.

And what I really cant forget is the darts game of my fellow BRATZ friends. They won the gold medal on Darts Double Women Division. Namely, Kate and Hannah. Me and Lady are just there Cheerleaders. Enjoy naman siya. Si Mark na walang malay naman talaga is absolutely fun those days. Hahai.

Hindi ko na maremember lahat ng nangyari. What I remembered is after the opening ceremony it rained and on the last night it also rained. Just simply means na wet ang aming show. Special thanks to Mike nad Jaylo for being the MCEE on the last night.

I hope that next year, andito pa naman talaga kami sa USEP, sana maiba naman ang festival. Hope so.

Beep... Beep... Beep...

Tunog ng cellphone ko habang umiiyak at di makapaniwala sa nangyari. “Totoo ba ito?”, tanong ko sa aking sarili.

Noon pa man, pingarap ko na ang makakita ng taong totoo. Nang dumating si James. Siya ang bumuo sa lalaki ng aking imahinasyon. Matipuno ang pangangatawan, matangkad, matalino, at higit sa lahat, totoo!

Di nagalaon, nahulog ang loob namin sa isa't-isa. Niligawan niya ako ng halos 5 buwan. Napasagot lang niya ako sa isang pambihirang okasyon. Natupad niya ang dreamdate ko. Ang pinangarap ko ng napakatagal na panahon.

Lumipas ang mga araw, mas lalong sumasaya ang aminh pagsasama. Ngunit isang araw, isang pag-uusap nag di ko makakalimutan. “Paano kung bukas mawala ako sa piling mo, matatanggap mo ba ito?”, seryosong tanong niya na sinagot ko naman ng walang patumpik-tumpik, “Ha? Oo naman noh? Nakakaya ko ngang di tayo magkita, so makakaya ko ring mawala ka”. Tumawa lamang siya at hinalikan ako sa noo. Pero sa likod ng mga katagang binitawan ko, alam ko sa aking sarili na hindi ko makakayanang mawala siya sa buhay ko. Siya na hinintay ko sa tagal ng pahanon. Ang pag-ibig na pinangarap ko buhay buhay ko.

Beep... Beep... Beep...

Ng biglang tumunog ang cellphone ko bandang alas tres kinaumagahan. Si James, siya ang nagpadala ng text message. Napaluha na lamang ako ng mabasa ko ang kanyang pinadala. “Babe, hindi ko malilimutan ang unang araw na nagkakilala tayo. Noong araw na yun, nabago ang buhay ko. Hindi ko alam kung paano at bakit, basta isa lang ang alam ko, noong araw na yun, natutunan na kitang mahalin, at hanggang kailan ikaw lang ang aking mamahalin. I Love You, Babe. Ingat ka na lang lagi!”. Sa ilang beses kong inulit-ulit basahin ang mensahe, sumagi din sa isip ko ang pagtataka. Bakit kaya? Maluha-luha pa akong nag-reply sa kanya, pero sa likod ng ngiti, may pag-aalala pa rin.

Pagsikat pa lang ng umaga, puno na ang mga cellphone ko ng mga text messages mula sa mga malalapit na kaibigan. Takang-taka ako kung bakit ganito na lang kadami ang tumatawag. Isang tawag ulit ang aking natanggap. At pagkatapos ng tawag na iyon, isang malaking katahimikan ang bumalot sa kwarto ko. At unti-unti ng pumapatak ang mga luhang nagtatago sa likod ng aking mga mata.

Beep... Beep... Beep...

at hanggang ngayon, nakatatak pa rin sa puso ko ang pangakong binitawan ni James. Isang pangakong dadalhin ko hanggang sa aming muling pagkikita................................sa kabilang mundo!

After the breath taking Game 7 of the Brgy. Ginebra Gin Kings and Air 21 Express, finally the game is over after the crowd favorite team won the game.

Last night was the final battle of between the Kings and the Express. The Kings started the ball game with a two points lead against the Express. During the 2^nd quarter of the game, Express really get into an express shots from Gary David, who was crowned to be the TM Three-Pointer after the game. But Ginebra is really a do-or-die team. With full of injured players, like the Best Player or the Most Valuable Player of the Conference, Jay-jay Helterbrand, it wasn't became the hindrance of the team to win the game. They scored ultimately during the 3^rd quarter with the presence of one of the Finals MVP, Eric Menk. With 8 points and 3 rebounds, he helped the team to lead 13 points against the Express. And for the 4^th quarter where everyone is excited to watch, after the 13 points lead, Express came into a points straight to lessen the lead into 1 point after 6 minutes of playing. And again, injuries suddenly came. Injuries of Junthy Valenzuela, Paul Artadi, and the reigning Best Import of the Conference, Chris Alexander made the big dome silent for a while and hoping the team still wins the game. After that heartbreaking incident of the 3, the team still aiming for the championship. But as the team is said to be a do-or-die team, they never gives up. As Mark Caguioa said, “Its better to be hurt physically, but we will win this game. We will play by heart”. And so nothing can beat them down. Puso ang labanan. Kung paano laruin ang laro na puso ang ginagamit at hindi katawan. "The players deserve all the credit for not giving up. We could have easily given up when we lost Jayjay (Helterbrand). We could have easily given up when Mark Caguioa got injured. And we could have easily given up when the others also got hurt. But the players didn't," quoted of their coach, Jong Uichico. Ginebra completed an epic triumph while handicapped by injuries, waylaying Air21, 97-84, Wednesday night to bag the 2007-08 Smart Fiesta Conference before a delirious record-breaking crowd of 22,902 at the Araneta Coliseum.

Ginebra really is a big crowd favorite. And without the fans, there nothing. Proud to say, I'm one of the many fans of Brgy. Ginebra. Taga Barangay ata ako, and will always be.

Unbelievable, this week is really a boring week.. Start of last Monday. I really dont know what happen to the world and why is it like that. Even me, I cant pretend that this week is really unpredictable. Gosh. I hate this week. I dont know what happened to some people. Tukar-tukar disease. For a month or more, this week is really the worst week for me. I didnt have a stomach cramps for laughing a whole day unlike those previous weeks. Especially this day. I really hate this day. ...PBA FINALS:whO wiLL rEign thE crOwn??

From 10 teams during eliminations, to 2 teams reaches the first two spots fro the semis (Air 21 Express and Red Bull Barako), 8 teams remained. 2 teams again reaches the spots for quarterfinals (Coca-Cola Tigers and Alaska Aces). Now there are only two spots remaining. Brgy. Ginebra Gin Kings first get the spot. And from the wildcard phase, Magnolia Beverages takes the final spot.

Air 21 Express and Red Bull Barako were just waiting for the teams they were playing against for the semis. The Gin Kings played against Alaska, while Magnolia played against Coca-Cola. Gin Kings won the game by winning 2 games to 3 against the said team they'll be playing. And as well with Magnolia.

For the semifinals round. Brgy. Ginebra fought the Barako to a 4 straight winning game. And way before the eliminations, Ginebra didn't get the chance of winning against them. Air 21 won against Magnolia by a do-or-die game 6.

The finals arrived. It's a 7 game round. First to win 4 games will be declared as the champion for the SMART PBA Fiesta Conference 2008.This years championship game is Air 21's first approach after the team playing for about 6 years in the said association. Where as in the side of Brgy. Ginebra, this is there first comeback after a long vacation not playing to the finals.

Last night was there first battle. Brgy. Ginebra won the first game by a 9 points lead. And Mark Caguioa was declared the best player of the game. Ginebra dominated this sesson by a 14 winning straight games from the eliminations to finals. Would they will be able to continue it? Or would it be Air 21 destroyed the plan? According to Jason Webb, "hindi lahat ng unang umaarangkada ang nagwawagi, its who wins at last".

Last July 28 of this year, President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo gave her 2nd to the last State of the Nation Address or commonly stated as SONA. For this year's SONA, she emphasized the economic growth in behalf of the crisis we are facing.

Relating her SONA to the Human Resource Management, she deals with the presentation about the jobs she enabled to give to those who needs one. For about numbers of graduating and graduates students on technical courses and vocational courses, she exclaimed that there will be millions of job opening for the year 2010. So for that statement, we, the students of this year, as one of the graduating students of the said year, hope so is included on her project

She also stated about the benefits and compensation of the workers with exclaiming to the private and public sector of the government such as SSS, GSIS, PAG_IBIG, and health benefits. The health benefits she stated is countrywide being implemented. For the said benefits above, employers have funded the two increases in SSS benefits since 2005. As she stated in the SONA."GSIS pensions have been indexed to inflation and have increased every year since 2001. Its salary loan availments have increased from two months equivalent to 10 months, the highest of any system public or private—while repayments have been stretched out. "

There are also trainings for technical sectors such as call center agents, medical transcription, animation and software developer, which have a demand of one million workers by 2010. This training exclaimed for the purpose of having lots of jobs to be opened by the said year.

And the last improvement during her regime is the peso control on which it increases from the previous regimes. It helps the country as well as the investors to still invest to our country. As the statement goes, this example exclaimed that her position as the president of the nation really gives something for our economic growth.

There is one statement of the president that she stated for her part. "Leadership is not doing the first thing that comes to mind; it is about doing the necessary,however hard!". As what I see about our country today, its really a great deal of having a leaders that aims for the needs of her/his members. As what she said, she gives a program that helps the "masa". Believing in her position might gave us to success.

Last July 28 of this year, President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo gave her State of the Nation Address or SONA to the country. Actually, I really dont like hearing or reading SONA's because I believe that this was all lies and broken promises, again. And actually, I really dont like PGMA being the president of the country. But as we are required to read her SONA, even its a forced reading, I have to.

Her SONA discussed about the technical trainings for IT people, like me. She stated about the future job opening on the year 2010, with the said courses of job available. Animators, call center agents and web developers is her main statement. Having the future job for 2010 really helps us or we IT people. We are not afraid anymore of where are we being dumped. We are not facing such job lost in return of four years or 5 to 7 years in college.

Texting is a basic communication of every Filipino. Each day, we are doing such sms for important or fun purposes. As PGMA requested that the minimum sms payment to other network is 50 cents, its a great deal. Like in our country today who is facing such crisis, we must really "higpit our bulsa". Through this help, budget for load is lessen.

She also stated about cyber services. With this, a great help for exporting and importing products inside or outside the country. Using technologies can lessen cost production and time management is a deal. However, seminars must be conducted in order for the right application of the said services.

Relatively, this means that the country is improving. And of the presence of crisis, we are still technologically growing.

Actually there's no such reason for me to write this article. Hmmmm, I really just want to write something. But I know, if my friends will read this, they will come up to a certain condition. And I bet, I know that conclusion. But fellow friends, writing this article is just one way of expressing what I felt last night.

So let me start it. I'm in my room, imagining and hardly thinking what shall I do, and end up nothing. Well, it's some kind of tiring night due to the weather and it feels like being alone because its cold. Because of that same reason again, I ended up reminiscing my failed love stories. This is some kind of corny stuff, and if you read this part, stop reading the next paragraph nalang.

Where will I start? Let me start it with the questions, mumbling inside my head. There are lots of it. One question, do love story in fairy tales come true? Bumalik ba sa pagkabata? Well, even my 12 year old cousin already have a crush and imagining stuffs like shes in a fairy land being a princess with her crush as her prince charming. What a lousy thing, but honestly, I also did imagined those when I was in grade school. Some kind of funny thing to be remembered. Continuation of the questions, I was watching a teledrama and koreanovelas and I keep on giggling every time the leading actress and her leading man where doing some crazy stuffs. Kilig to the bones, kumbaga. But why is it like that? Despite of many heart failures(meaning, brokenherted), I'm fascinated of watching such shows? Duh?!

Honestly, I fell inlove a lot of times. And everytime that happens, I keep on wishing it will last, long. But unluckily, I always ended up with a heart like paper, cut into pieces. Wow, what an emotional phrase. But really, last March of this year was my last crying moment. And umiyak talaga ako. My first? It happened on the same month but not on the same year, March of 2006. Wow, what a coincident. I figured that out just now. And if you will going to ask me if I still love them? As in them talaga, my answer would be "No". I'm not anymore in love with them but I'm still attached to them. If you will ask me whats the difference of the two, i can't explain it verbally nor in actions, it just I know there's a difference between the two. Just try to understand nalang ha. And again, if you will ask me if there is still a chance of reconciliation, the first guy who broke my heart would be definitely a NO. Some of my closest friends know the answers why, but for those who don't know,I'll give you a hint. He is happy on where he is right now. Gets? And for the other guys?(naks,ang dami pala talaga!), it will also be a NO. Not because of I hate them for doing such thing, but because I'm afraid of of being hurt by the same reason and of the same person. Gets? Well, just get it, okey?

For me, falling in love is not that really hard for me. Ang bilis ko kasing mahulog sa isang tao who gives me more attention that of the others. That's the main reason why I ended up falling that hard without knowing that no one is there to catch.Taking the risk kumbaga. Masarap man magmahal, it feels like you're above cloud 9 or being lullaby at the clouds. but it feels more better knowing that you are also being loved by the one you love. Weeehhh. It is also better of being a single. You have more time for yourself, friends, studies and families. Some people would explained relationship as a destruction, especially when you're still studying. But others would defined it as an inspiration. Depende lang talaga yan on how you deal with it.

Right now, I'm not aiming for a fairy love affair or a koreanovela's story. What I'm aiming is to find not a perfect guy, but the right guy who will love me, accepts me, and be my man. Corny man kung pakikinggan, but that the reality. Every girl is dreaming of wearing her bridal gown, walked down the aisle, and be married to the guy he loves the most. But I'm not saying that now, as in today. I know someday, somehow, it will come true(in GOD's will). Finding the right guy? Hindi rin naman din ako nagmamadali. I know he will come, he is coming. Not now, but the right timr. And from that day, I will be writing again my true love story with a happily ever after ending. Nakz.

Group of students whose mind level is like Grade 6(nalang!), but the truth is, students who are already 4 years in college. See the gap of the age?

Let me introduce to you my friends., the group where I belong. The group of English Spokers(Carabao Englishers), the Rubix Cubers(The Mind Game), and the most popular on the name "The KiLLerers". The game it all started, "killer2x". Because of that corny game, as Jalil's would mention, we hang together, eat lunch together, go home together, and play like kids together. Back from being a child.

Happy are we indeed, but every friendship also suffers from trials. There are misunderstanding, teasing and end-up crying(ako lang poh yun!). But still, at the end of the day, were back of being okey.

We may hurt each other by saying "badengz", "taba", "tape", "vovo", and "tanga". But as what Donkey told Shrek, "only true friends will be cruelly honest and only friends can cruelly speak their minds out of it". Though it may sometimes be hurtful, but its still okey, were friends remember?

A day with them is worthwhile. We laugh and smile as if theres no tomorrow. This are my friends. Friends who I can lean and trust. Friends that I will always treasure until my last breath.

Regarding about the problem in the university today about the internet connection, let me give some simple ideas, tips, or maybe somewhat called a solution for the said problem. This moment, the solution of the University to fasten the internet connection is increasing of the bandwidth. But according to what had happened in the present situation, its not that big help. Though it is, but only for a while.

As a student of the University, I was required to pay miscellaneous and on the half, I'm capable of using the internet to serve my needs in terms with net browsing on my assignments, but on the forefront, its not that easy to line at nodal to wait for your turn to use the computer and if lucky(able to use one unit of the lab), the internet connection is not that very slow, but slow in processing. So instead of waiting for my turn, its easier for me to go to the nearest internet cafe.

But what would be some solutions(simple) but in fact can help the university to solve this situation.

It must be better that better planning is taken for the first place. Like what i observed in the planning of the University, they always end up wasting efforts and time. Why? Cause they always encourage themselves to take trial and error. They would just take the risk of losing recent informations, and they really wouldn't listen to those who are capable of suggesting preferably the right suggestions.

Next, the orientation stage. About the internet connection, they never had the chance to orient themselves about what will going to happen if error comes in their trial and error basis. Like for example, they increase the bandwidth but at the same time, they never notice that it is only for a meantime.

Next is change of hardwares and software. Luckily basis, having a new computer set in the school is an advantage. Though our school is a government school, budget is a factor. What about if they only think about the present situation in the laboratories today, hardware is also a factor that can affect the speed of the internet connection.

Next, try to use routers, hub or switch. Internet cafe's using such hardware and in fact that they can disseminate the internet in accordance to the numbers of computers they have.

More likely, I would really like to say that knowledge and planning is really a big factor..

But using technology might give the company the risks or the based effect as well.. Here are some risk factors that illustrates when technology level changes.

*1) When the technology is changing, one's who uses IS as well might change its strategy. The plans relating to the previous project might deal into conflicts among those who raised the plan. in return, when change is involve, it required more comprising stategy and more uprising plan for the companies us well.

*2) Reliability of systems might as well be a factor. At the beginning of the company task,, reliable sources is a great deal. If change is one risk, prone to unrealibility of the system is a great deal. this may happen if the one who works with the system is not capable or (still) lack of knowledge to maintian and use the system, as well.

*3) One factor that affects the business is financial. If the IS change in the company, it might as well says that the hardware and software may change. Money is a take place. Buying new hardwares and installing new software cost big amount that might pronounce to the company.

*4) Technnical support as well might change. If ever the person in-charge is prominent to do his job accordingly before, and change occurs, lack of technical support due to lack of knowledge and due to rapid increase of the technology is a great risk to happen inside a company. IS requires knowledge about the new infrastracture and new application of the new system, and it requires a resource that species such change.

*5) And lastly, downsizing might happened. if new infrastracture is introduced, theres such case that the company might hold those who are capable of using and implementing the new application. And due to that, those people who are unable to distinguish such change is required to say goodbye to the company..

There are lots of risks a business might encounter. And one solution of that is proper planning for such change.

I really dont know what to wite in here. I had a difficult time reseaching and surfing the net with this topic. And the url I found whose with connection with the topic is as the same with Hannah and Karren.

First, lets just define what is the meaning of barrier.. Barrier for me means in between or a thing that complicates the situation or simply means that it separates one thing from the other. So what are those things that complicates information systems?

First is on how a information is transmitted to the other. From the word information systems, itself, it deals with information and how to manage it. So on factor that complictes it is how to manage the information. Second, as always stated in every problem, the financial problem. Information systems required big or enough money for the compensation of the information. If in case the systems have a big project, financial state is a big major factor. Third is the time. Proper time consuming required of the managing systems. If in case a system is being upgraded to a much modern one, time is a factor to use it. Time must be properly used accordingly. And ofcourse, resources. Time is also used in finding and preparing a perfect or right resource for the system.

As a matter of fact, information systems are not the only one who I believe findong these problems difficlut one. And as same as i believe, any problems or difficulties have there own probling solving as well. Last Saturday, July 12, me and my colleagues(Hannah and Karren), visited the one of the biggest company in Davao City. The Davao Light Power Company. From the name itself, it produces light and electricity but not on all the regions of Davao.

9AM- Arrival of the team
The first person who arrived was Karren. Second is Hannah, then me, and lastly, the joiners to the group(joke), Kate. Kate was our photographer that time. When everybody arrived, we enter the office right ahead.

10AM- Call Time
Our schedule for the said interview is 10 am, but unluckily the people we supposed to interview didn't arrived yet. Around 10:10 am, we had finally advice to enter their confession room.

Into their confession room
the room was not that really arranged, The chair was out of place but the lights are many. Talagang they produced light and electricity because they weren't that tipid on lights. What I first saw was their aircondition, because when we eneterd the room, it was the first thing that sir opened after the lights had opened. We took pictures that time, as u can see.

The Arrival of Sir John
Sir John Albutra is the head of the Business Solutions Department(BSD) of the company. At first he asked us, if we are the only one,s who will conduct the said interview, because he was expecting we are a class who will conduct. He asked us about Sir Randy. He told us that he was a former student of Sir Randy on his college year. But actually, Sir John is a commerce graduate but he is a software developer in DLPC.

The Interview
After the meet and greet session, we started asking Sir about their company. DLPC started on 1973 and their department started 1984. He showed to us the history of making DLPC, but unfortunately, we haven't got the chance to save the presentation, because according to him, it's confidential. But still, were lucky to observed and seen the history of the company. Before, in the beginning of the company, they were only using a semi-computer with 4mb memory and can have the capacity of 300 words per minute. As the time goes by, they were able to change their equipments likely as of the uprising of technology. From literally file handling and unmodernizes organizing and managing their data resources, they turned up of using personal computers and mini-computers. The use of software and databases are common. Now, the database they are using is Oracle and MS SQL Server, There are also hardwares such as cisco IP phone on which they can teleconference to other site like Cebu and Subic. Travel is not their problem anymore. He also illustrates to us the distribution of power supply not only to Davao Cit but also to Panabo and Cotabato City as well. He discussed the responsibilities of each department as well. Actually, there are 4 departments and we are only focused on his department which is the BSD.

The Tour
After the discussion, we asked Sir if we can tour on his department and luckily he said yes. We entered their restriction area. We first approach the network infrastructure Dept, then the BSD and lastly the Billing Dept.

And thats the end of almost 3 hours staying at DLPC. It was really that fun and I enjoyed the tour. According to Sir John, pasaway talaga ang mag It, and I bet its true..

During our first visit in LYR, it was just "pahapyaw" on our real topic. Sir Llano just discussed to us about their organization

Our second visit was really not that long. We only been handled the module about job analysis, job description, job specification and etc. Saturday before last Saturday was the time consuming interview.

Last July 05, we had again our visit on LYR. This time, we will interview about our report. At 1pm, me, Hannah, Karren and Kate met at Daily Playnet Internet Cafe in Obrero. We searched about our individual reports and at the same time, what questions are we going to ask when we arrived at the office. By 2om, or past 2pm, we decided to go and we just walked from Obrero to Acacia. And finally we arrived with Vanessa who waited for about an hour.

That same time, Sir Llano gave an exam to those applicants who wants to work to their company. For the first time, we observed waht an HR manager do. During the examination, he stiil entertained us because for him, appointment is an appointment. We discussed about job organization and information in their company. From our discussion, there were some confusions. Still, were confused about the definition of each topic because the idea is similar to the other. What really bothers me is the job analysis.(Buti na lang di yan ang topic ko). Whwen we were still discussing about the topic, Sir also glimpse to those who are taking the exams. Galing ni Sir, multitasking.

Ofcourse, before the company started to work., HR manager or their Gm really must undergo job analysis in order to find out what kind of job is appropriate on the field of work. What describes the job and what are the qualifications of those employee in that certain job. How much time will the job must be worked accordingly, the benefits and insurance, the degree of education and other more. Job analysis implies much duty for the company.

After the discussion. we conduct our own job analysis to the employees in the company. At first, it was scary but on the later part, its nice. And the people we asked were really approachable. Were of the same age kasi, nice diba?

Basically, HRM defines the people as the "essential part" of any organization, relate that to our body,its the heart. Human are born with unique and hidden talents from within. God created each individual to become a defined quality of his own work. Likewise in an organization.

"Human beings are the most important, potent and critical resource of any organization". Like what i have just stated, people is the heart of an organization. Without human, who will do the job and who will think for the organizations future. Critical resource? Because not everyone is acquiring the same mind or talents as of the other. Not all are given the cahnce to be put up in a certain org, or not all are qualified to become such specific position, but anyone are qualified to become. Back to the real part. Human are ofcourse important in such a way that they are the one manipulating or doing such event inside a company. There the one who the company is needing in such case that a company can't work on its own without an employee, such as a leader can be called a leader if he/she doesnn't have what we he/she called a member.

But why is it that it is least understood and worst managed of its resource? Because, those being who belong to the lower of an organization established of having the feeling as being taken for granted. No one would like to listen to there part or mostly there being manipulated or managed harshly by those people on the higher positions. There are also some cases that there benifits and insurance are being taken away from them. They are being abused in such ways. There talents and skills are only limited to the job there up to. Some are being treated as if they were paid regularly or as if they were slaves on one's eye.

For this time, I believed that many of us dreamed to have the work that really suites for us. But for those who are desperately wanting to have a job, "kapit sa patalim kumbaga". Ofcourse indeed that we facing less job opportunities but on the later part, lets just think for whats right. Facing the world is not a committed mistake, but hiding on a shelf without properly taken care of is the biggest mistake a man coud ever gone for himself..

IT defines as software and hardware and peopleware, HRM defines as managing HUMAN RESOURCES. In such case they are similar to a certain review, PEOPLE.

Hmmmm,infact its really an amusement to me why does an HRM is part of our curriculum. That IT/CS is just only doing some software and applying software to a certain organization. Even our HR manager in the company were conducting asked us why do we have to study HRM and how come it is related in our course.

On the other hand,after the first gospel*(reporter) have discussed about the overview of HR,thats the only time it clearly stated the relationship about our course in HRM.

HRM relates in IT because it simply means they deal with people. They must understand the impact of people in a certain organization. At the same time,right after graduation,we first face an HR manager. He/she conducts the interview and some other prospect on applying a job. As also implies some factors and knowledge of how to become a good employee,their benifits and rights. At the same time, what would bring us to become a good professionals, soon. Hmmmm,i was merely mistaken about tje fact on 21st century. I thought that it the year in 21st century is on 2100, but it was the end of the 21st century. A really spoonky mistake.Hmmmm. The company on 21st century??

Actually, as observed in our HRM company, they have there own facilities that are technological increases. There are computers, laptops, fax machine, xerox machine and other facility. But what about the future yearsThere was one news I guessed in Korea, the receptionist in one of the company there is automated human machine that can interact with people and can answers questions promptly. Here in our country as well, same as the Coca-Cola bottlers that they have there own factory which is automated by human with machines. The sealing of bottles, the making of bottles, the refilling, etc.

If the company today develop there own technologies, maybe in the year ahead, machines collaborate more than human resource. Maybe on the second hand, robots and androids takes place rather than humans. If and only the technology uprises in our country. But in accordance also to the uprising of technology, worldwide, i bet that our country as well might upclose to the technoloical advancement.According to what Charmain have said, the human resouce is the great factor who might have affected on the uprising technology. Might as well, we are facing to environmental lost(Hope not). It might as well happen if and only the company may force to own specific land areas which may affect the environment. The fictional pictures of Final Fantasy might happen. Back to the topic. Everything we have right now may grow in accordance. Company in this century may take the competency globally, catch the latest issues on how there company developed. There will be more company producing much impact to the technology.

However, like Jade have said, what will happen to the human resource? A question may be answered negatively like less ooportunities to human because the evolution of artificial is also on the nth level, or maybe postively, in such that human is still the basic and most important key in every company. Actually, this is not our first visit at our HRM company. Our company in HRM is LYR. Located at along Acacia road near mental hospital. During our first visit there last week, we all agreed that it will be our company. We like the said company because the HR manager is very approachable, and even if we still haven't given him the letter of permission if we can can conduct study in the company, he already given us the informations we need.

Today is our first interview on him. We waited about 1 hour because he still has his matters to tackle about. We discussed about how an HR manager works. How to conduct an interview, how to terminate employee, how to deal with applicants. We didn't focus on our report, we focus on how an applicant started and how to hire people. We talked about kinds of organizations. There are types of organizations. First, the TALL ORGANIZATION. Tall organizations illustrates the power from the GM or the General Manager down to the HR manager and Legal Personnel, down to the supervisor, down to the workers or staffs. Another kind of organization is the FLAT ORGANIZATION. The flat organization illustrates the authority from the superior ones or the GM down directly towards the workers or staff. We also discussed some businesses inside the company, like legal leave, such as maternity leave. And there are basis on the said legal leave that the HR might have the authority to suggest the applicant regarding to the basis. The company as well don't have the authority to terminate people regarding on his/her face. There are legal basis to be applied on terminating employee/employees. The company as well has there own basis on screening, recruitment, and training. During there recruitment, they have there two types of examination. The non-standarized test and the standarized test. There training requires learning from the training as well. Training is basically done if the employee or the applicant lack knowledge due to new technology, and theres a deficiency of performance. He also explained to us the benefit after the training. That there will KASH after it. It simply means, Knowledge to his/her lacking, Attitude towards the learning, Skills to be developed, and make it a Habit as well.

But there's a simple phrase that sticks to my mind after the discussion, "LEARNING IS UNLEARNING!". The training aims to unlearn those attitudes that reflects bad impression and learn new one's. Isn't that inspiring??

According to the research I've made, OSS or the Open Source Software defined as a computer software for which the human-readable source code is made available under a copyright license or arrangement such as the public domain, meaning OSS is a free software that doesn't undergone any fees at all. This permits users to use, change, and improve the software, and to redistribute it in modified or unmodified form.

Open Source Software is a big help to be use in schools. Thus, the privilege given to the students given them the chance to open or even download the software. OSS can also teach students to learn how to use a range of software. They can be aware of using not only one software but many software they can as long as it is free.

British Educational Communications and Technology Agency (BECTA) had there surveys to those OSS schools to non-OSS schools. The report discovered that those who implements OSS in there schools spent up to 50% less on there total cost. Meaning, if our school implements OSS, it may lessen up the cost were paying for a license software. And because license is not in terms,though there is still license to it, the school are not liable for any legal basis.

In implementing OSS in my school, USEP may install those OSS sofware as an optional alternative to those of not OSS software. Such as instead of Windows, install Linus as well. One way is that the community in USEP may also know whats the important or special role of OSS in the school, perhaps, conducting seminars to higher people are necessary. Relatively, we also must know what are those software included in OSS.

Align to the said issue, downsizing, according to wikipedia, it is about lay-off of employees to cut labor cost and other issues regarding to the company. One company that undergone downsizing is one of the big or said to be the biggest telecommunication in America. the AT&T Telecommunications.

Last April of 2008, Telecom giant AT&T lay off 1.5 percent of its employees, primarily in management, in an effort to streamline its operations. AT&T had about 310,000 employees at the end of 2007, meaning the layoffs affect about 4,650 workers.

The said lay-off is due to "next step" in streamlining company operations in an effort to operate more efficiently after recent mergers between parent company SBC, the old AT&T and BellSouth. And still it it so to cut labor cost so that the profit of the said telecommunications increases from 2007 to 2008. The layoffs mean AT&T will take a one-time charge of US $374 million during the first quarter of 2008 and AT&T reported a net income of $3.1 billion for the fourth quarter of 2007. It's revenue for the quarter was $30.3 billion.

Still, the company helps the employee who has been lay-off by giving them another chances to apply again to the said company. The company still hires additional employees to support growth areas.

Green Campus Computing in the website I found states about how fast is Information Technology uprising right now. Usage of computers without consciously aware on its effect, not only for the user but also for the outside world. Its about how we save, we use computers properly and waste management.

Being a student of my proud university, and being a student who is commonly using computers on our computer laboratory, I can adopt green campus computing on my own simple ways. First, after using the computer, it must be properly shut down, not only the system unit we used but also the monitor and unplug it so that we can save and consume energy accordingly. According to an advertisement about energy saving, power off the appliances is not only the way to save energy, like television. It must be properly off and unplug the plugging, simply like computers. Of course, monitors are also television. Secondly, if theres no one using the computers, and we observed that some computers are working, we must have our own initiative to turn it off. We must not wait for the instructors to tell us to. Still, we are saving energy in that case and we are saving the cost as well. Third, some students in our university, especially the one using the computer laboratory loves to change the screen saver of the monitor. According to the research, using of colorful and moving screen saver may also consume large amount of energy. Try to use one color or not that colorful screen saver to save energy. Fourth, do not abuse the usage of computers. Computers also have their own heating and cooling device. It may not only creating energy consumption increase, also, its cost increases. And lastly, do not destroy or steal any parts of the computers in the computer laboratory, like mouse or other cases CPU. It will also involved that the system unit itself may lead to damage and of course, buying another parts of it can give our university another hassle. In cases, its still our lost because we are the only one using the laboratory.

Lets just be aware of whats happening in our community today.

Let me introduce to you my cute Little puppy..Her name is Angela Antonia.. From my name and from my crushes name..Actually hes not a real puppy, hes a bag.. In other words, hes not real.. But why did I made her real, simple reason because everything around me in my room is real.. And every time I'm home, shes the one I can talk to.. Simple isnt it..

She was given to me by a good friend of mine during my 18th birthday. We do have the same birthday as well. "Ninang nya ang mag classmate ko". Isnt that nice again?? My puppy was baptized..

But unfortunately, I lost her. She was lost and its my fault.. I dont know where she is right now.. So if someone saw her from knowhere, kindly bring her back to me.. Please..

I miss my puppy.. So much!!
